My two sisters and our husbands visited Nova Scotia in September. Our Grandparents were born and lived here, and as kids we spent many summers in NS.
My husband found Roger's home on VRBO. This is an amazing place. We found so much serenity here. This house was immaculate and fully stocked. We loved sitting on the back porch watching and listening to the waves crash. The photo that is in Roger's ad for the property is beautiful, and we were hoping the home lived up to it, this property surpassed the photo!! Such a gorgeous place. The location was perfect for us because we spent most of our time in Yarmouth County. Our cousins came to visit and couldn't believe how beautiful this property is. (And they live on waterfront property)!
We are so happy we were able to stay in this beautiful home!!!
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. The views were superb. Long views of the coastline and the valley. We had beautiful sunsets and a couple of nights we watched the fog roll in. Every night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. The cottage was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The only improvement would be a staircase to the shore. We enjoyed all the N.S. South Shore region had to offer. There were several lovely golf courses. We also had time to see Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens, which had wonderful collections of rhodos, magnolias and roses.
Beautiful home. So quiet and peaceful. Our family enjoyed our stay very much. Close to great beach. Would return again if ever back to Nova Scotia. Thank you Roger.
We stayed at Roger's house in July 2014 and we returned in July 2015. Both times the house was immaculate, very clean and comfortable. The location is great (<15 minutes from Yarmouth and Mavillette beach but very private and quiet) and the view is stunning. Sitting on the porch and hearing the waves crashing below is the most relaxing experience. Thank you Roger for sharing this gem with us. We will definitely come back.
Private retreat with spectacular ocean view. Port Maitland beach very close by and about 15 minutes drive to Yarmouth shops. Comfortable bed and very quiet at night, spacious home, fuly equipped kitchen.
Wireless internet, tv etc. Loved it! thanks Roger!
The quaint town of Yarmouth features shopping, fine dining, and all the necessities. Anything that you may need to make your stay comfortable can be found in Yarmouth. Several fine restaurants are located in Yarmouth and the surrounding area. Rudders Seafood Restaurant and Brew Pub is definitely worth a visit. The house is located just off the Evangeline Trail. The Evangeline Trail parallels the Fundy coast and will take you through farms, forts, and fishing villages. Several fine sandy beaches are located within minutes of the house. Port Maitland and Mavillette are Provincial Parks and have picnic facilities and/or bathhouses.
