Pre-Confederation manor home. Very private. Lots of space inside and out.
About Andy Parks
We first saw the property back in 2015 while spending Christmas with family. Four months later it was ours. After 20 years working in marketing and graphic design I finally said, "Enough!" It took us two years to reclaim this historic pre-confederation estate from decades of neglect but it has been worth every effort. I would like to thank all our guests who helped make our 2018 inaugural season such a resounding success. Your response has been truly gratifying. (We already have three return bookings for 2019!) Toad Hall has been a labour of love and we would love to share it with you. We know you'll love it as much as we do.

This is a magical place
There were eight of us in this spacious house and everyone just fell in love with it. The high ceilings and wide hallways made us feel like we were in a palace! The architecture and furnishings were unique and beautiful, an eclectic mix of old and new. We found it in spotless condition, with plenty of natural light throughout but dark shades to pull down in the bedroom if you want to sleep in. There wasn't anything we couldn't find when we needed it, from toiletries to kitchen utensils, but this place does so much more than meet your basic needs. The fabulous artwork adorning all the walls, so tastefully put together, we admired different artistic touches every day. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch admiring the amazing grounds around us, even had one of our meals there. It was always peaceful and quiet, with only the sounds of owls, cicadas, and crickets to serenade you. The overall feeling is magical, like going back in time, yet we had all the modern conveniences, really the best of both worlds. Andy met us when we arrived and showed us all around, and after that responded quickly to us via messaging each time we had a question; we really appreciated that. It was wonderful to come back here at the end of each day, and in the mornings we lingered because it is just a place you don't want to leave! This is probably the nicest VRBO property we've ever stayed in. Highly recommend!
Weekend at The Toad
Seamless process from beginning to end. Canadian hospitality to its finest in a well appointed private home. Screened in back porch, fire pit, upscale personal amenities (toiletries). Very spacious. There were only four of us staying and for only 3 nights. There were portions of this home we didn't even really get to enjoy. We'll be back.
Toad Hall is the perfect Niagara vacation home!
This unique property has it all: class, quiet, comfort, convenience, and location location location. Minutes from the shops and restaurants in Niagara on the Lake and surrounded by wineries, Toad Hall is nevertheless an oasis. Andy has packed the house with treasures too! From games and books, to musical instruments, there is never a dull moment. Unless you want one. And then the house has nothing but quiet, and the natural beauty of the grounds. We loved our five days - and so did family and grandkids. We will be back!
A hidden gem. The perfect girls getaway
We recently stayed at Toad Hall for a girls getaway weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect! The house was absolutely beautiful, had everything you could possibly need, and the outdoor space was so serene and magical. We especially enjoyed being able to enjoy dinner outside in the screened in porch. The property was very private, yet conveniently located close to many wineries and a short drive to niagara-on-the-lake. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a getaway weekend!
1865 meets 2019
Just spent a glorious 5 days at a Victorian mansion nestled on acres of land and I must say it is hard to go back to reality! Although mother nature tried her hardest with rain and humidity to ruin our plans we still managed to enjoy this little piece of heaven on earth! From the precise attention to historic detail to the modern amenities this home offered it felt like living as the Dukes and Dutches once would! So much square footage in each room, stunningly high ceilings and large bright windows to look out at the beautifully treed lot. I just can't say enough about Toad Hall and really hope we get the chance to visit again!
