Character, luxury, space... 2 blocks from Lethbridge's new indoor 'waterpark'!
About Irene Friesen
We custom built this home in 2016. Daryl is a contractor/finishing carpenter, and I have a background in business and design. Our families have lived here for 18 years and we would be happy to answer any questions you have about this scenic area of the country!
Irene Friesen purchased this House in 2016
Why Irene Friesen chose Lethbridge
It is very special. However, because of the 'catwalk' feature on the 2nd floor overlooking the living room, it may not be safe/suitable for children.
What makes this House unique
Our home was recently built in the theme of modern tudor style. It is bright, airy and very comfortable, and is positioned with an expansive view of the sky, green spaces and the Rocky Mountains. We designed, and built it - we are quite charmed with its character. Our front yard landscape includes 'limber pine' trees - the same variety that grow on the mountainsides of the Canadian Rockies, hardy enough to withstand the alpine elements, and provide shelter to it's wildlife. And much like mountain abodes, you may see smoke rise from our chimney in the winter. In addition to central heating, we have a beautiful high efficient wood burning fireplace. It is a cherished space in this home - a crackling fire creates an amazing ambience. From our windows you will see pink sunrises, as well as glowing orange sunsets. We have a hottub on our back patio that we use winter and summer; sheltered just enough to allow a little moon and star-gazing :) We do not have a deck - but rather a large beautiful walk-out patio, direct from our dining room: slick for indoor & outdoor entertaining. From there you can have access to a large natural gas bar-b-q, a dining space for 6, and a propane firepit with lots of chairs to enjoy the night. The yard is landscaped with low voltage lighting amid pear & honey-locust trees. Inside, we hope you will enjoy the cedar beams that span the vaulted ceilings, crown moldings, oversized doors and windows... even a 'living plant wall' !

Business stay in Lethbridge
Perfect home and amenities for our professional work team in town for work with the City of Lethbridge
Glad everything worked out so well. Thank you for staying.
A group of 8 of us stayed for 3 nights during a hockey tournament. The house was amazing and had everything we needed. We could even walk to the rink for the games. I would recommend staying here. The host Irene was great and looked after our every need.
Short but great stay
Clean and spacious, wonderful hosts. It could not have been better.
Glad we could accommodate you comfortably. Thank you all and take care.
Great family accommodations
The property is in a great location with lots of parking at the front. Located directly across from a large sports field. There’s also shopping within walking distance for groceries and a Tim Horton’s. This house has tons of great seating areas, a large table to sit at and patio area outside that is lovely. We had 3 couples and 3 children and the space was fantastic. The kitchen is well stocked with tools etc and it has great appliances. The children played in the hot tub for hours. And we visited the Rec Center with water slides and pool also within walking distance on a path through the field. The very basement does not currently have a bathroom but there’s a full bath on the main level and upper level has two so we put just adults downstairs . The beds were also great- overall- we would definitely stay there again. It was a wonderful family weekend thanks to this house. Super ! Highly recommend!
Your family has added to the good memories in this home. Thank you for your visit!
This home is absolutely perfect for a larger group or family unit!!
Modern, roomy, beautifully decorated and a location in West Lethbridge that is just awesome. Close to new ATB Centre and the new YMCA with a beautiful family pool facility that is brand new..........a great way to entertain young and old alike.
Irene and Darrel were terrific hosts who made sure everything was perfect. They were available at all times and responded immediately to any questions we had.
This home is EXACTLY as advertised and I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Lethbridge area ........ you will NOT be disappointed!!
Those are such nice words - we really appreciate it.
We had a family wedding to attend in Lethbridge. This was an ideal property to stay at. There was ample room for everyone. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the backyard was ideal to relax in. We would definitely stay here again.
Glad you enjoyed our space. Thank you for your visit!
Our neighborhood - Crossings - is home to the new ATB Crossings Ice Hockey Arena and Curling facility. (An indoor waterpark, as well as field house with running track, fitness equipment and childcare centre - opening Spring 2019.) It is family oriented, and includes a network of parks, large fishing pond and bike trails. We also provide tennis racquets and basketball for the outdoor courts across the park. The outdoor space includes football, soccer and baseball fields. Closeby grocery stores, restaurants, pubs and coffee shop make the necessities super convenient. Park Place Shopping Centre is an easy 12 minute drive downtown. If hiking or river-rafting is your thing, the Oldman River runs through our city; you can easily get to the 'riverbottom', surrounded by coulees. (keep your eyes open for wildlife!)
There are endless cultural offerings in Lethbridge. Music and art festivals, concerts, Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens, the Whoop-Up Days Fair, horse-racing, Casino, and a variety multi-cultural events keep visitors and residents entertained throughout the year.
We enjoy golfing at top notch courses like Paradise Canyon (10 min drive), Henderson Golf Course (15 min drive), and the Evergreen Par 3 Golf Course (20 min drive) - and there are dozens more within an easy drive!! Sportsfans also take-in Lethbridge Bulls ball games, moto-cross racing, and rodeos. Winters don't go by without attending a few local Hurricanes Hockey (WHL) games, a figure skating event, or the NHL's Calgary Flames hockey games a 2-hour drive away. Daytripping to the mountains could include visiting the historic Frank Slide (Turtle Mountain), as well as fly-fishing, hiking, skiing and sightseeing in the Crowsnest Pass. Daytripping north will take you to antique-rich towns (such as Nanton) along the way to Calgary - where there's tons to do. Before you reach Calgary you can stop at the nationally acclaimed Head-Smashed-In-Buffalo Jump Park and the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site.
Drive south to take in the infamous beauty & hiking trails in Waterton National Park and Writing on Stone Provincial Park... and beyond!
