A Cozy Cottage for a relax'n romantic get-away for 2
About Geri Blaeser
My husband and I moved to the Brainerd Lakes area 20 plus years ago. We have lived on Little Pelican Lake, built our dream home a log cabin. We added the Cozy Cottage on our property in 2005 and rented it out to regular tenants since then. In August of 2017 we decided to fix it up for renting it out to travelers. We hope that you will enjoy our home. We open up the 3.5 acres of land that we own on Little Pelican Lake and allow you to use our lake toys as well.

Everything was fine. I'd just say it was dark at night and could use another light in the parking area.
Thank you Meg for you suggestion. My husband and I will definitely do that.

Excellent for a Low-key Escape
The cabin itself is gorgeous and well maintained, isolated enough from the main cabin by beautiful plant life to help it feel like you are staying in your own little wonderful slice of wilderness. Great location within 5 or so minutes of Breezy Point and Downtown Nisswa for whatever day excursions one would like to plan.
The only failed 'expectation vs. reality' we had was in relation to the lake shore. Before purchase, we had asked if there was a dock available for fishing. I could have been more specific in what we were looking for, but the answer we got was, 'Yes, there is a dock'. What wasn't mentioned in the answer was that the smaller sized dock is only really meant for quick access/docking to recreational items, not for lounging/fishing, and that the entire bay the property is on is overgrown with vegetation and only 1'-2' deep. No real fishing of any kind could have been done without the use of a boat. This didn't ruin anything for us, as that piece of lake shore is quite beautiful and relaxing regardless, and we still enjoyed the cabin very much, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time that the lake was effectively unfishable sans water transportation, and that the dock isn't the type to lounge on.
Overall, the stay perfectly accommodated our main goal of just getting away and winding down for a few days. Even though fishing fell thru, there was still plenty to do in the form of walking trails, viewing local wildlife (a Fox strolled right up to the cabin while we were grilling one night!) local restaurants/breweries, downtowns to explore, etc., and at the end of each day it was nice to come back to a clean, cozy, relaxing, private cabin.
The place was lovely. Loved the sound of the babbling brook/ river outside b
It was very nice and restful.
We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cottage. We were looking for something that was rural but not a resort and this was perfect! The hosts were great and obviously enjoy having people around. The guinea hens were a treat, too.
Anniversary Get Away
Nice and clean. Beautiful landscaping.
Restful in the woods
We enjoyed having a quiet place to return to after riding several days on the Paul Bunyan Trail.
The Cottage is located on our 3.5 acres of land. Our home and and rental unit are located on the property. The property is located above the water. on Little Pelican Lake. There is a pond and stream located on the property. You park you car in the parking lot by the Pole building and walk on a walkway by the stream to the Cottage
