About Suzy Allman
I'm an avid hiker and traveller, and a professional sports photographer. I love to settle in on the porch with a book, or make dinner with a fire going, or work in the office with that view of the bridge. I absolutely love hosting and having guests, so if there's something you think I can improve on, I'd love to hear about it! Creative ideas especially appreciated. :0)
Suzy Allman purchased this House in 2014
Why Suzy Allman chose Tarrytown
I'll always call Tarrytown "home", because it's beautiful, convenient, friendly. This house, overlooking the river and the valley, the little village with its train sounds and tugboat blasts, just takes it all in. The location is just perfect: a walk into town, the Music Hall or the train station, but also a walk to the Tarrytown Lakes or Hudson River, the bike path, the Riverwalk and the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail. You won't feel like you're stuck in the middle of suburbia here, and while we're in a neighborhood, you'll feel complete privacy.
What makes this House unique
The river, the sunset, the town below made us fall in love with this house. It's an old home (1889) with generous rooms, but everything is fully functional, clean and updated in the bathrooms and kitchen. And although it's a Victorian, you won't feel closed off in separate rooms; the house has an easy "open plan" that works for families gathering at the end of the day for a dinner or conversation. The kitchen is central to everything, located between the large porch and the living and dining rooms, and steps from where you'll park the car to bring in the groceries.

Perfect Large Family House in Tarrytown
This attractive, comfortable house had everything- beautiful views, beautiful grounds, great location - and our family loved our stay there.
This house is absolutely charming! It has many nooks, balconies and garden corners for a retreat. Suzy was extremely accommodating when we wanted to drop a few things off early.
What a beautiful home you have, Suzy! Thank you for welcoming me and my family for my wedding weekend.
Suzy was very accommodating with all of our requests, the home was well stocked and very clean. Charming and with so much personality!
The home is well situated on a hill (with street parking for 3-4 cars), featuring beautiful water views and of the new Tappan Zee Bridge, minutes from the train station and the "downtown area." Thank you for having us!
Great for Groups
I can’t say enough about our fantastic stay at this Tarrytown gem. Our group of 12 adults (and 2 babies) had everything we needed, and room to spare. We love to cook big meals and we had all the amenities we needed to do so (and even some we didn’t! I’m already planning to use that spaetzle maker next year!). There was ample space in the kitchen for many cooks at once! The views were even more beautiful than the pictures show and it was so nice to be able to walk into town if we wanted a change of scenery or an ice cream cone. The fresh flowers around the house were a beautiful touch and made us feel so at home.
Suzy was beyond hospitable and accommodating. The information she provided about the house and the town was invaluable.
Thank you so much, Suzy! We hope you’ll have us again!
A beautiful & spacious homebase!
Suzy and John had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and luxurious. We were holding my Mother's 90th birthday in Westchester and had extended family visiting, and this house was perfectly suited for all our needs.
Online photos are not always trustworthy, but these, including the flowers, were absolutely accurate. Each room was well-appointed and cozy. The main spaces (e.g., kitchen, dining and living rooms) were all large and allowed an easy flow but also made several small, simultaneous conversations easy.
Words fail to capture how impressed we were, how happy we were, and how perfectly this house met our needs. Suzy & John have thought every about detail and have guidance and suggestions posted right where you would look for help (for instance, how to use the television, right near the television).
Their concern and genuine interest in making our stay comfortable was apparent (and appreciated) throughout our stay. We recommend this house highly, and are considering our next visit to Westchester just so that we can stay here again!
