Great location near high speed train to city
We spent two nights at the property on the lower level. The entire unit was roomy, and it was apparently recently renovated. Water pressure was good, and the unit was very clean. The bedrooms had comfortable mattresses and plenty of room to store belongings. The kitchen had what we needed for breakfast meals, and the bathroom was well equipped too. There is off street parking. Georgia greeted us on arrival and was a gracious hostess, giving us “country folk” some tips on what to do, and how to maneuver the trains. It was a short walk to the train platform, and the high speed train got us to south station in about 10 minutes. We bought the train passes on line prior to boarding. Walking a little further past the train station took us into the Roslindale town, and there were several good restaurants with a variety of foods (not chain restaurants). There is also a Target and Dollar General within walking distance. Parking in town requires riding around to find a spot, like most Boston suburbs; if you are able to walk to town it is easier than trying to take your car.
Great house, well renovated in good part of the neighborhood.
Although my journey back to my old home town of Beantown was for the sad duty of memorializing my recently passed dad, it was comforting to have the experience of staying in my old neighborhood of Roslindale for the first time in literally decades and decades. Georgia was an accommodating and warm host whom it was a pleasure to meet. It was great to commune with a native of the city and the neighborhood. I and my girlfriend and my brother were all very comfortable in our respective rooms. It was exceptionally clean and the kitchen and dining areas were nice spots to retreat to. Off street parking was great (although the driveway takes some good old Boston driving skill to get in and out of but not a problem and loved the test of skill!). I'd happily stay here again and more than likely will the next time I'm back home for a visit.
Just what we needed
Georgia is a fantastic host and was there to greet us when we arrived, and was very helpful in orienting us to the area. She was also easily reachable for questions during our stay. The apartment itself was very comfortable, roomy and nicely appointed. It had a really cozy feel, and there were many thoughtful touches, like a binder with menus and maps, tissues in every room (my personal favorite) and even bathroom supplies in case we forgot them. Getting to downtown Boston was easy, but there are a couple of really yummy restaurants in Roslindale itself. Although a closer bus was available, we preferred to walk through the Arnold Arboretum to get to the closest subway stop. We enjoyed our stay here very much!
We loved staying at this apartment. Everything was so extremely clean. Georgia was tremendously helpful since it was our first trip to Boston. Couldn’t have picked a better spot. You won’t be disappointed if you choose this apartment
Beautiful, very clean, perfect neighborhood location!!
We absolutely LOVED staying at this apartment during our visit to Boston. Incredibly close to the train stop. A beautiful park (Arnold Arboretum) about two blocks away was a peaceful respite from the busy downtown. Perfect for a morning run! Green T’s is one block away and has excellent coffee, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and other bakery items. The apartment has been completely updated. Loved it and we would highly recommend and would stay here again. Very safe neighborhood and friendly neighbors!!
It was perfect, here for a wedding and it was nice to have our own place to escape too. the owner was very helpful with any questions we had. Neighborhood was quiet just a couple blocks from the train into the city. Nice restaurants and shops local also. Thanks if we ever need a place to stay in Rosendale I would stay again. Alright just one thing, I would put dimmer switches on all the can lighting in the house. A bit bright using them. Thanks Michael and Gregory
