Rustic Charming Cabin so peaceful!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This was such a wonderful place to stay for our family couldn't have asked for a better cabin. This home was so clean and charming, we also enjoyed the huge deck off of the back of the house overlooking the majestic lake and mountains. We were in town for my son's wedding and had lots of children and adult children staying here with us. This is a vacation we will never forget, everything you needed was there , frying pans extra sheets, washer and dryer. The paddle boat was enjoyed by my grandchildren they were never bored and didn't even miss being on there cell phones. The internet works great as long as you have a verizon phone but other cell providers were not able to work. we only needed the phone to keep in contact with the wedding party.

Don't be afraid to rent this home unless you are a yuppie and need your latte' in the morning. We had to fly in to get to this destination and rented a car to drive there it took us about an hour and a half to get from airport to the home. I would strongly recommend buying your groceries before you come here as the little store charges double the cost of everything you would need. There are no large grocery stores near this home but if you just need milk or small items you will be ok. Also if you are flying in make sure you don't arrive late at night it is hard to see the home in the dark as it sits behind another home.

Everything we hoped for and more! Thank you Ryan and family , (also Ryan is right on top of communications, usually gets right with you if you need anything!)

Beautiful house in a beautiful spot in NY

  • 4 of 5

The house was everything we needed ... lots of bedrooms for family, kitchen fully stocked, plenty of seating at the dinner tables and living rooms, plenty of games/puzzles, and great views of the lake and mountains. Lovely spot to share a cup of coffee each morning. Wonderful area for boating, we borrowed their canoe and used our kayak and paddleboard to enjoy the lake. Wells is a very quiet town, quick-mart is a short walk but that's about it. Although this did lead to us having real quality time with family ... lots of laughter and memories.

Awesome Lakehouse

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect family vacation at an Adirondack lake house. Right on the water with panoramic mountain views. Plenty of room for our family of 14. Couldn't have asked for a better situation. House is set up great for a large group. The deck and screen room were awesome gathering places and the water was like bath water. Plenty of fish to be caught right off the dock and the bigger kids found the paddleboat perfect for fishing from. Only thing missing were a small motorboat, kayaks and a few more trash cans for large groups. Highly recommend this location.

Awesome Lake house

  • 5 of 5

We had wonderful weekend at this great mountain view lake house. House was very neat and clean when we reached. House has screened porch which is great for dining, also has nice deck which has great views. We had fun barbecuing and dining on the deck.

Ryan was very helpful in answering all the questions we had regrading the house and nearby places to visit. Lake was right in the backyard, we had fun in the lake canoeing and boating. Lake was very clear and fortunate to have good weather.

Overall it was great experience and away from busy daily routine. We are already thinking about visiting this place in fall!

Adirondack Treasure

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to get away from the business of everyday life and slow down for a while. We have stayed here several times and each time has been such a blessing. I am sure the memories of our time there will be cherished favorites for the rest of our kids lives. Our family was able to rest and relax in this peaceful sanctuary. Early morning paddling on the still lake is absolute serenity and the view is phenomenal.

The house is great too. The kitchen was very functional and we were able to cook any thing we wanted to. Clean and Convenient. The kids loved the bedrooms with the bunks, lots of fun. And the room with the sliding glass door was a real treat to wake up in. (Did I say the view was phenomenal?) Games and puzzles provided were good for our rainy day and the wood burning stove made the living room really cozy at night as we sat and talked. This place is special and a great family get away.

The owners are great. If we had questions they were so easy to get a hold of and so helpful. Definitely know they care about us. Everything was in good shape and the description provided here was accurate and thorough. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family for a great get away. Great hiking and canoeing in any direction very close by and everyone in town we met is super friendly. Even took the short walk down to the library to check out one of their seasonal programs, so nice. Had fun racing to the beach and playing there for a bit in the afternoons too. Lots of good exploring!

This is a great place to unplug for a while.

Definitely glad to have gotten the opportunity to enjoy this Adirondack treasure. Thank you.

Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay. Nice to hear when families have similar memories to the ones I had vacationing in this home when I was growing up and it was owned by my parents. We are currently making some additional enhancements to the house including a new large basin sink in the kitchen and newly finished walls in the dining room. It's a great place year round so keep us in mind when you are looking for a picturesque autumn experience, snowmobiling or skiing in the winter. Spring is great if you want to enjoy some rougher rapids with your kayak or canoe on close by rivers.
