Way better than a hotel.
Place is cleaned and updated. Still had some rough spots and is obviously and old home. First night train came by twice and woke me for a minute. Next night either slept through our none came. Kids slept though no problem. Everything was in working order and way more enjoyable for my crew than a hotel ever is. Would stay again when I come in to see family a couple nights.
Just too noisy for us. With a train and the people above us .
The house had beautiful wood work and very squeaky wood floors that some places you felt like you were going to fall through. Out of date couches but you can see that by the pictures, the beds were very comfortable. Two houses from a railroad track that does go by at night and different times during the day. We stayed on the first floor so we could hear everybody walking around above us but we could not hear them talking or the TV just squeaky floors. No curtains on the windows so in the bedroom that faces the front porch we could see the second floor porch light on all night since they did not turn it off so if you are used to a light streaming through the window you’d be fine but if not it wasn’t very easy to sleep especially with cardboard in the window where the air-conditioners is. We live in the country so we were not used to the noises and the lights. Good neighborhood and close to downtown which was very nice for us. We had a nice stay and enjoyed Cleveland.
Not a Positive Experience
We arrived and there was no air conditioning. There were window units in the closet but not installed. There was record setting temps in Cleveland this weekend. There were ants in the kitchen. One of the back steps is rotted. We left the property immediately and I emailed the owner. This was all on Sunday, May 27th 2018. Once our stay was technically over on Tuesday the owner emailed me saying I should have contacted him about these issues. Obviously I did contact him since he replied to my email. The fair resolution should have been to offer a whole or partial refund.
