Plan to do this again!
The house was just perfect for five of us - we had everything we needed for our four nite/five day stay. But the BEST part of renting this house was that we could walk EVERYWHERE. Close to the French Market, Frenchmen’s Street, and all of the French Quarter. In going out to the Garden District, we walked to the streetcar stop and took it all the way out - with only one change. Oh, and the bakery/
Cake shop across the street had pastries to die for. We also found a cool bar around the corner that serves the BEST tapas I have ever had (Mimi’s). Street parking was easily available. I highly recommend this property - but please
don’t book it next year when we plan to come back!😜
Nice clean house. Great location
Real comfortable home. It’s far enough away from the French Quarter to be quiet but not to far to walk everywhere
Nice neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants, entertainment, and shopping.
Great location, easy walk to French Quarter and surrounding area. Plenty of amazing restaurants within walking distance as well. Home owner is very quick to respond and provided several recommendations for us. Enjoyed our first time in NOLA.
NICE AND COZY, BUT BEWARE OF PARKING!
The unit was in a good location. We were able to walk to Bourbon street with no problem. Upon arriving, there were wet towels in the dryer and some clothes on the hamper, but that was no biggie. We just re-washed the towels. The only thing that needed to be cleaned was the microwave. The stairs to the loft area are also VERY steep, so be careful with those as that could be a problem with people who have mobility issues or small children. The biggest issue that we had was the parking. My car was towed and it was parked right in front of the unit. There is a fire hydrant at the corner of the street, but the area isn't marked and there isn't a sign there to warn you that you have to park atleast 15 feet from the fire hydrant and 20 feet from the curb. So, it would probably be best to find another parking space and to stay clear of this area! The neighbors were very nice and tried to stop them from towing my car. Barbara and Tiffany responded promptly when we had issues with the lights in the unit. There is also a cafe right across the street that is absolutely delicious!
We had a very nice stay here over the New Year's weekend. The owners are very responsive and helpful, the location is excellent (close enough to the action to walk, but far enough to be a little quieter) and the apartment/house is cute. Only two drawbacks. The stairs to the loft bed are a bit steep and the front door/locks can take a little finesse to open. Would certainly stay here again.
