Nestled just steps from the beach at both Fiesta Bay & Sail Bay in the heart of Crown Point (Pacific Beach), and within walking & biking distance of Pacific & Mission Beach, this beautiful, Mexican style hacienda is the perfect sanctuary for relaxing after a long day of sun, sand, & San Diego fun!Located in the heart of San Diego's most popular bay (Mission Bay) and just 2 blocks one direction to Fiesta Bay and 2 blocks the other direction to Sail Bay (beautiful sunsets!) our place offers everything you might need to rest, rejuvenate and have some fun in San Diego! Just a note: the street in and out of Crown Point does get a fair bit of traffic so you will hear some road noise in the living room with the windows open. This home is a Mexican Hacienda theme with art work and finishings from some of our favorite artists in Baja and Guadalajara Mexico. The Hacienda is one-bedroom with a full kitchen that can sleep five. The bedroom features two queen-sized beds, as well as a small sofa sectional in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and amenities and the Hacienda includes free Wi-Fi, Apple TV, a small back patio table for drinking your morning coffee or an evening BBQ. Not only are we right down the street from shopping, restaurants and entertainment, but we are mere minutes from San Diego's best beaches, including Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, La Jolla and Del Mar. Sea World is right around the corner (two minutes), Balboa Park is just a hop, skip and a jump away, and the Gaslamp District is about 10 minutes down Interstate 5. Let's just say we're about 10 minutes from almost any place you might want to visit in our amazing city, as well as the San Diego International Airport!

Great location. The apartment is clean, cheerful and had everything we needed. A great value when compared to other hotel options in the area. It's so close to the bay and a cheap Uber ride to our favorite restaurant on Pacific Beach.
A quick shout out to our host Drew and his darling family. You guys are great!
We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family and look forward to our next trip.
Some important good features here
This home is in a location that is very convenient to the beach. We really enjoyed our evening walks to the waterside. Second, the home is very clean and it has good wifi service. It has sufficient towels, plates, and the like. The decor is based substantially on depictions of skeletons reminiscent of Santa Muerta religious icons. The wall colors are beautifully beachy. There was street parking reasonably close to the house most of the time. We were only able to stay for 5 nights, but the weather was wonderfully cool on three of those nights, and I really enjoy cool nights. A couple of the days and nights were pretty toasty. A fan was provided and that helped. Sea World is a short drive/UBER away, and an excellent breakfast is on the other end of the block at The Menu. Trader Joe's is maybe a mile away, and a couple decent bars are a 3 minute walk away.
Our family trip to San Diego did not disappoint. Beautiful little house to accommodate our family of four. The location was great! The peninsula gave us the best of both worlds being near Mission Bay and Mission Beach. Owners were easy to reach and helped us settle in. Only downside was no AC and living room couch is very small for a family of four to relax after a busy day. But all in all, I would definitely stay again!
Cute place, close to beaches; nice central location
Clean, with bright colors to enliven your day. Nice kitchen. Sleeps five; seems like four would be more comfortable... and that's if you're really close friends. Wouldn't suggest young kids; it's on a main thoroughfare. Owner was very responsive when we needed his help (a couple times).
Great location, fun basecamp for exploring San Diego!
My family of five really enjoyed staying at La Hacienda de la Playa towards the end of a two week camping road trip. Drew and his brother were quick to communicate prior to our trip as well as upon our arrival. After spending most of our time sleeping in a tent during the first part of our trip, Drew's place offered a comfortable spot to get some rest and explore the various fun things to do in and around San Diego. I have to be honest, it was nice to have access to Netflix in the mornings when my wife and I were gathering the necessary items for our time at Pacific Beach and Legoland. It can get a little warm at times, but the large fan in the closet proved to be really helpful. All in all, we will likely be back in San Diego again in the future and will definitely plan to stay here if it's available.
Too much traffic noise and not very well kept up
