This unit sits steps away from the heart of the Fremont district. Plenty to do and easy access to I-5. We had enough room for 4 adults and the kitchen was fully stocked. We would book again the next time we are in Seattle.
We booked this at the last minute and we’re pleasantly surprised. Everything was very perfect. The location was great to walk to restaurants. The entrance in the back was a little bit difficult to find, but if we had read the directions more closely, it would’ve been easier. Enjoy
The unit is fine, the property management could be better
Recently stayed at this property for 3 nights in Sept 2019. Initially I received an email telling me to download and install the Homeaway app to get "all the info" I need for the location, but the app didn't provide anything other than the address: no info on the lock box, wifi, or anything else.
I called the Seattle Vacasa phone number provided and sat on hold for 15 minutes (at 11am on a weekday) so then I called Vacasa's Portland HQ and immediately got through, had the info I needed emailed immediately. So fine, that's OK.
We arrived at the property and discovered severely warped flooring in the kitchen, a fan running on the floor, and dehumidifier running at full power in the attached laundry room. We received no notification or info on this damage, there was no note anywhere on site, and my text message to Vacasa about it went unanswered. OK, fine we adapted but the dehumidifier was making the entire unit hot and muggy.
There's no AC or even a thermostat in this unit (talk about odd) it's a ground-floor unit so we couldn't just leave windows open. I finally just turned off the dehumidifier but I was really frustrated there was no note or explanantion of what we should do.
Also note that this unit has a special lighting system that is really not user friendly. They provided the lengthy manual for the system but a simple one-page explanation of how to use the lights would have been helpful. The lighting system is irritating to use.
Otherwise, the location is good and the unit has all the basic accomodations one would expect. We didn't use the oven but the stovetop worked fine, the toaster oven was fine, the couch was comfortable, TV worked fine, WiFi was reliable. The patio is big and the view is great. There are neighbors upstairs but mostly we didn't hear them much in the evening or weekend mornings (I did hear them getting ready for work at 6:30am Monday, but we were getting up early anyway so whatever.
It's a nice property with an awkward quirk (the lighting) but the local amenitities are good and you've got easy access from Ballard to buses, freeways, and downtown.
Would stay here again
The space was in a great neighborhood and was spacious for our party of 5. We would absolutely stay here again.
Quiet and comfortable.
Great place, but don’t expect to be able to park anywhere. I got a “Zone 27” ticket for $54.
We are glad you enjoyed the home! There is a small parking space in the driveway and we ask that guest's do not block the sidewalk. We apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to host you in the future.
This place is in a great location and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
