Lovely! Right near town, charming and clean!
We had a lovely stay for two weeks and it definitely fit the bill for us. The house is charming and clean; the kitchen is very well stocked with cutlery, dishes, pots & pans, and even some spices and miscellaneous items. The back porch has a great grill as well! There is a "secret bathroom" which is a lot of fun to find and the owners are lovely people. They are accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Adorable home, warm family, great location
This is an incredible walk and really is walking distance from downtown - something you have to be careful with when it comes to location descriptions. The house is as lovely as any bread and breakfast, totally charming and well cared for. The owners are very hands on and care about you having a good time. When we were late for the ferry on the way out of town, THEY ACTUALLY GAVE US A RIDE!!! (don't expect them to do this for you though, it was so not their job - they are just that nice!). You will not be sorry to rent here.
Fabulous Week Rain or Shine
We rented the BLT house with extended family ages 10 and up. The house was clean. It is very light and open letting the breeze blow in. We loved sitting on the big front porch. The beds are very comfortable. It has a lovely dinning area for the whole family to eat together. It is an easy walk to all attractions in the sweet town of Oak Bluffs and a quick beautiful bus ride to the other towns. We will rent this house again and would recommend it to friends. Fabulous house located in the heart of Oak Bluffs. We had another great week at the BLT House....you couldn't ask for a better location and Oak Bluffs is a wonderful town on Martha's Vineyard. This house has everything you need and we were very comfortable there! Can't wait to go back in 2013!
Great Home Away from Home!
The location could not be better - we enjoyed walking to town for coffee each morning, nightly strolls, shopping in the quaint shops, sightseeing and the beaches. The home was exactly as represented. More room than we needed and the kitchen is well equipped for a large family. Immaculate, charming – we had a delightful stay!
We loved the BLT house. We have rented at various places in Oak Bluffs for 4 years and the BLT house is the cleanest, most beautiful and has the best location. We would highly recommend it to anyone. We will be renting it next year. The owners are very friendly and great hosts.
Walk 2 blocks to Circuit Avenue (the center of Oak Bluffs) and you will find shopping, restaurants, the Flying Horses carousel, galleries, nightlife, movie theaters, public transportation, bike and moped rentals. Go listen to a concert off Circuit Avenue in the Campground at the historic Tabernacle. Walk 2 more blocks to the harbor where you can arrange fishing and boating excursions. Just around the corner (2 blocks south) is Niantic Park with public tennis courts, children’s playground and a basketball court. Walk 2 blocks to magnificent Ocean Park and listen to the town band concert on Sunday night or simply admire the beautiful historic houses. Walk or ride a bike on the bike path to State Beach, a pristine three mile barrier beach on Nantucket Sound. For the golfer there is the Farm Neck golf course just down the road (1.5 miles). And of course there is all of Martha's Vineyard to enjoy! Other Activities: Flying Horses Carousel • Back Door Donuts • Offshore Ale (family restaurant, too!)
