If you are looking for the ultimate Cape Cod vacation to spend with family or friends, this is the perfect place! We have vacationed here for 8 years, both summers and Thanksgivings, and absolutely love this house. You step inside and immediately feel the character of the home and can enjoy views from every room. It is a beautiful mix of antique and modern styles and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and easy. The owners are also great to work with! We have stayed as a family of four generations many times, and everyone enjoys it. The house is spacious with areas and bedrooms for all when you want some quiet time, but also wonderful to gather together in the gourmet kitchen, dining areas and cozy living room. The grounds are meticulous, with beautiful views and a huge deck that you could spend your whole day enjoying! Ballston Beach, our favorite on the ocean side, is a short walk down a quiet road, and you are close to everything Truro, Wellfleet and Provincetown have to offer. Our family has created so many wonderful memories and traditions here...if you are lucky enough to rent this very special home, as we have been, you will never want to leave and when you do, you will make plans to return over and over again. Enjoy!!
Cape Cod Charm and Character
Summers on the Cape were a part of my childhood and though I wanted to introduce it to my own children- now grown and off on their own- I was worried about finding a place that exuded the old Cape that I remembered. The wild areas, the dunes, the hikes, the old towns the vernacular architecture... But this house. This sweet house- gave it all back to me and more. Converging from the west coast, the Rockies, the Chesapeake Bay and the land of Liberty, our group of 8 had more than enough room to sneak away with a good book or converge for charades and shenanigans. Large decks shaded by beautiful white oaks overlooked a river valley. Wild turkey (the feathered kind) were prevalent on the local trails. The location gave us ample opportunity to easily explore Provincetown and wellfleet and other sections of the National Seashore. We rented bikes and explored further than our feet would take us. Access via the fast ferry from Logan was part of the fun. And the car rental at Provincetown was a snap. We barely made a dent in our list of things to explore and so we look forward to coming back again soon!
Great House, fantastic kitchen, trails and beach nearby.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Twelve of us found the house extremely comfortable with many options for privacy. The kitchen is well suited to large groups and serves as a central gathering area. There is plenty of parking with additional space behind the house by the garage. We used the fireplace more or less continuously. The beach and nearby trails as well as proximity to ProvinceTown are a great combination.
Wonderful house for group or family reunion
This wonderfully restored house in Truro, MA is a fabulous place for a group or family reunion since it sleeps 12 and has all the amenities that one needs. We have rented it at least 5 separate times over the last several years. The owners have done a meticulous restoration and addition to the property, and everything is of high quality. The large kitchen is always a center of activity, and the expansive decks overlooking the green valley landscape is a favorite place to relax, read, and dine under the stars. It's a short and scenic walk to Ballston Beach, and the property is conveniently located to Provincetown and the other cities on the outer cape, where there are wonderful restaurants, stores, farmer's markets, and other businesses that cater to people who love food and love to cook. The property is maintained in first class shape, and the listings accurately reflect the appearance and amenities of the house. A local caretaker has always gone out of his way to assist in making our visits effortless, and the owners are very helpful in answering questions before a visit, but also dealing with any issues that may arise during our time there. It's a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful place to stay, and I would recommend it to a friend or relative without any hesitation.
We love this house!!
We have been vacationing at this home since 2009, and absolutely love it! It is a wonderful combination of warm antique style and modern amenities, and the location is beautiful for a relaxing beach vacation and sightseeing. It is perfect for travel with friends as well as family gatherings, and is spacious enough to spread out when you want quiet time. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay very comfortable, and they are so easy and great to work with. We can't say enough about this special spot that continues to warm our hearts!!
David and Scott have renovated their 1820's Cape house with wonderful style and an eye for detail. It doesn't feel at all like a rental house -- much more like the house of a particularly tasteful friend. It's laid out perfectly for a large family (or even two families), with two completely separate upstairs sections and 3 1/2 baths (not counting the outdoor shower and toilet in the basement :). Even our family with 5 adults and 3 teenage girls was able to cohabit comfortably and not fight over the bathroom! A truly lovely and well-thought out place.
