Walk to Ballston Beach, just half mile down secluded North Pamet Road. We completed a total renovation of the property in 2004 keeping many of the original features, but with all the modern conveniences. Wide pine floors, original wainscoting, period door hardware. Central air conditioning, 150 mbps cable internet, fax, multi-room audio entertainment system, Xfinity with 60" UHD TV and surround sound.

Ballston Beach, considered by many to be the most beautiful beach on the outer Cape, is at the end of the road. Since there is no public parking on North Pamet Road (the parking area is on South Pamet Road), the street is very quiet. Two separate master bedroom suites with private baths and private decks overlooking the Pamet river valley and the hills of the National Seashore Park.

Huge 800 square foot mahogany deck over looking Pamet river valley with 36 inch' stainless steel barbeque. The enormous 18 by 22 foot eat-in kitchen opening onto the deck with french doors seats 10, separate solarium dining area with double sliding doors onto the deck seats an additional 10. The kitchen is fully equipped with all new stainless steel gourmet appliances, DCS range, Two dishwashers, fridge with ice maker and filtered water dispenser.

Granite counter tops and solid cherry cabinets make for a beautiful and unique entertaining/vacation experience. The kitchen is fully equipped with serving and cooking utensils, everything you need for entertaining!

Ample storage for bikes and fishing equipment in basement garage. Beautifully landscaped grounds with extensive perennial plantings offer privacy and peacefulness. A vacation experience that will stay with you for a lifetime! Provincetown with its many restaurants, galleries, whale watches and people watching is a 15 minute drive. At the end of North Pamet is the Cranberry Bog walk, Pamet Valley Trail and Ballston Beach. Surfcasting at Ballston for Bass and Blues!

Less than 5 minutes away is the oldest golf course on Cape Cod, Highland Links, which overlooks the ocean from high bluffs in North Truro. The public nine-hole, par 36 course features windswept terrain with small greens and rolling hills and presents golfers with the challenges of yesterday's courses.

Nearby Cape Cod Highland Lighthouse is the oldest, highest, and most important lighthouse on Cape Cod. The first light was from whale oil, then lard oil, then kerosene, then electricity in 1932. Automated since 1986, it is still a functioning U.S. Coast Guard light. Locally it is known as Highland Light yet on maritime charts it is officially named Cape Cod Light.

Quick access to fresh water ponds, bike paths, cranberry bogs, and nature trails throughout the Cape Cod National Seashore. Numerous in-season concerts, plays and art shows in neighboring Provincetown and Wellfleet! Bike or drive the back roads to beaches and shops in Truro and Wellfleet without going on Route 6!

Master Bed #1 (king) and adjoining small bedroom #2 (twin trundle pulls out to two twins) are upstairs in the old part of the house, very steep narrow staircase.

Bedroom #3 (king) is the 2nd Master Suite is downstairs in the new wing on the ground level and has no stairs to access it. There are french doors onto the deck with no steps, the deck is ramped from the driveway. The bath for this bedroom also has a higher ADA rated toilet and walk-in shower with bench and grab bars.

Bedroom #4 (two twins) is downstairs in the new part of the house near Master Bed two.

Bedroom #5 (queen) is upstairs in the new part of the house, a less steep and more manageable staircase than in the old part of the house.

There is a sleeping loft adjacent to Bedroom #5 with a queen pullout sofa.

There is also a sleeper sofa (queen) is in the living room of the old house, no steps if you come around from the deck, the front doors into the house all have a step or two.

About David King

My husband Scott and Live in Vermont. We always took our vacations in Truro and loved the North Pamet Rd area. In 2003 we decided to go for it and bought the house and undertook the big renovation!

David King purchased this house in 2003

Why David King chose Cape Cod

We love the quiet of being within the Cape Cod National Seashore. The setting, the trailss and beaches...it's paradise!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was great- very spacious. Kitchen was open and very functional. Deck was beautiful and grill was very good. Great privacy and very quiet. Bedrooms very nice and comfortable. Practically, with a few kids in tow we drove to the beach on South Pamet, but parking was plentiful so no concerns. Beach was absolutely beautiful. House very convenient (15 mins) to Provincetown for shopping/meals.

Cape Cod Charm and Character

  • 5 of 5

Summers on the Cape were a part of my childhood and though I wanted to introduce it to my own children- now grown and off on their own- I was worried about finding a place that exuded the old Cape that I remembered. The wild areas, the dunes, the hikes, the old towns the vernacular architecture... But this house. This sweet house- gave it all back to me and more. Converging from the west coast, the Rockies, the Chesapeake Bay and the land of Liberty, our group of 8 had more than enough room to sneak away with a good book or converge for charades and shenanigans. Large decks shaded by beautiful white oaks overlooked a river valley. Wild turkey (the feathered kind) were prevalent on the local trails. The location gave us ample opportunity to easily explore Provincetown and wellfleet and other sections of the National Seashore. We rented bikes and explored further than our feet would take us. Access via the fast ferry from Logan was part of the fun. And the car rental at Provincetown was a snap. We barely made a dent in our list of things to explore and so we look forward to coming back again soon!

Great House, fantastic kitchen, trails and beach nearby.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much. Twelve of us found the house extremely comfortable with many options for privacy. The kitchen is well suited to large groups and serves as a central gathering area. There is plenty of parking with additional space behind the house by the garage. We used the fireplace more or less continuously. The beach and nearby trails as well as proximity to ProvinceTown are a great combination.

Wonderful house for group or family reunion

  • 5 of 5

This wonderfully restored house in Truro, MA is a fabulous place for a group or family reunion since it sleeps 12 and has all the amenities that one needs. We have rented it at least 5 separate times over the last several years. The owners have done a meticulous restoration and addition to the property, and everything is of high quality. The large kitchen is always a center of activity, and the expansive decks overlooking the green valley landscape is a favorite place to relax, read, and dine under the stars. It's a short and scenic walk to Ballston Beach, and the property is conveniently located to Provincetown and the other cities on the outer cape, where there are wonderful restaurants, stores, farmer's markets, and other businesses that cater to people who love food and love to cook. The property is maintained in first class shape, and the listings accurately reflect the appearance and amenities of the house. A local caretaker has always gone out of his way to assist in making our visits effortless, and the owners are very helpful in answering questions before a visit, but also dealing with any issues that may arise during our time there. It's a wonderful, peaceful, beautiful place to stay, and I would recommend it to a friend or relative without any hesitation.

We love this house!!

  • 5 of 5

We have been vacationing at this home since 2009, and absolutely love it! It is a wonderful combination of warm antique style and modern amenities, and the location is beautiful for a relaxing beach vacation and sightseeing. It is perfect for travel with friends as well as family gatherings, and is spacious enough to spread out when you want quiet time. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay very comfortable, and they are so easy and great to work with. We can't say enough about this special spot that continues to warm our hearts!!

Stunning place!

  • 5 of 5

David and Scott have renovated their 1820's Cape house with wonderful style and an eye for detail. It doesn't feel at all like a rental house -- much more like the house of a particularly tasteful friend. It's laid out perfectly for a large family (or even two families), with two completely separate upstairs sections and 3 1/2 baths (not counting the outdoor shower and toilet in the basement :). Even our family with 5 adults and 3 teenage girls was able to cohabit comfortably and not fight over the bathroom! A truly lovely and well-thought out place.
