A Custom Designed Home for Guests' Comfort at Kealakekua Bay: A Friendly Village
About Elizabeth Kilpatrick
Steve and Elizabeth built Manini Point House in 2005 because "We love Hawaii Island and wanted to build a home where couples and families can relax and enjoy precious moments together and know that they are in paradise. Our family often visits us in Hawaii and they look forward to their stay at Manini Point House. We live on Konacopia Farm about 10 minutes away, and are happy to take our Manini Point House guests on a tour of this special Organic "botanical garden" that includes Organic Coffee and Mangos, avocados, citrus, soursop, and much more!

this is a beautiful home and was a great choice for us as it was three adult couples and one young child. Eash of the couples having their own bathroom and bedroom made for harmony and ease with being together for almost two weeks. We enjoyed everything about the place except maybe the road to it, but if you want to be on the beach you got to take the road!
Gorgeous, peaceful retreat
This gorgeous property is a lovely retreat from the fast pace of modern life. It is situated in a small Hawaiian village in the midst of a very friendly and welcoming local community.
The home itself is filled with beautiful custom furniture, and the master suite is wonderful, with views from every window. It is very well equipped with everything that you could possibly need for a great vacation.
The gardens are tranquil, and filled with beautiful flowers. It is just a short walk to a lovely beach park for snorkeling, swimming and rock-pooling, and canoes and paddle boards are available to rent just around the corner.
The owners are so lovely, and very hospitable. I highly recommend touring their near-by coffee and mango farm. It was a fascinating and informative experience with gracious hospitality extended to us at the end. We really enjoyed meeting everyone on the farm, and we gained such an appreciation of their hard work and dedication to pursuing their passion for farming local delicacies.
This is a wonderful choice of vacation destination.
Thank you so much for the lovely review! We always hope that our guests will love Manini Point House, so your review is very special.
It is a pleasure to offer our Manini Point House guests a farm tour; and, in fact, it provides a way to get to know you. So, thank you for spending a part of your holiday with us.
Annual family Hawaii trip
The property is great! Wonderful location and the owners are wonderful! We travel to Hawaii once a year. This is a keeper! Check out the toga at the botanical gardens! Great recommendations by Elizabeth to make the stay even better!!
beautiful house, amazing location
We stayed at Manini Point House for a week and loved it. The house itself is beautiful, very clean and amazingly well equipped with everything you might need for your stay. The location can't be beat as you can walk in minutes to a small beach with good snorkeling located at the bottom of the Kealakekua Bay. You can also rent kayaks to explore the bay and leave from a cove a stone throw away from the house. The night life (birds, frogs) is a bit noisy at first but you get used to it pretty quickly. We would be glad to come back.
Great house for our family vacation. Great location as a base hub to hit snorkeling, beaches and volcanoes. Loved the home.
Tranquil off the beaten path
Amazing property on Captain Cook bay. Well equipped property that easily becomes the stage for fun day excursions nearby. We would definitely recommend to others.
There is plenty to do on the Hawaii Island! Visit Mauna Kea observatory for a very special evening of star gazing! You will love learning about Hawaiian culture by visiting Puuhonua O Honaunau, one of the many historical sites with hiking trails and a gorgeous picnic area, as well as hiking to Captain Cook monument. What can be more enjoyable than swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving in Kealakekua Bay, or horseback riding in Waimea or golfing in Kailua Kona, charter fishing, shopping for local crafts and Organic produce at Farmers' Markets? Visit Volcano National Park, see the waterfalls on the windward side, hike to Green and Black Sands Beaches at South Point. Visit Mauna Kea observatory. Zipline in Hawi or Hilo! Take a walk on the wild side with a helicopter view of the Volcano flows, waterfalls, snow on Mauna Kea, undeveloped landscape--the Big Island's gorgeous scenery! Or relax at Manini Point House, sip a cup of Organic Kona coffee and walk to the bay for a swim with the dolphins! You will know that you are in Paradise!
