ideal fishing holiday cabin
clean, comfortable and convenient for our trout fishing trip needs. would highly recommend
The five of us that stayed in Mike and Brenda‘s place were so happy with everything about it! Mike and Brenda were really easy to work with and very accommodating. The cottage itself was beautiful, I even wanted to just move in! LOL! It was super clean, very Warm and cozy. Our intent on the trip to Decorah was to hike and take beautiful pictures of the leaves. It got really cold, windy and even snowy so we spent the majority of the time in the cottage. We will definitely come back again if Mike and Brenda will have us. I definitely recommend this to anyone.
What a weekend!
Great weekend in NE Iowa
The cabin is exactly as listed in VRBO. Very comfortable with all the amenities we needed. It's beautiful country and we had a wonderful time visiting family in Decorah and Ossian.
Owners were helpful and had VERY quick response whenever we had a question. Can't wait to stay here again!
Very peaceful, enjoyable & comfortable! Will definitely return.
The process of renting this property was very efficient. The owners were fantastic! The cabin was very comfortable &. furnished with everything we needed. The scenery was beautiful. Would love to stay there in the fall to see the autumn foliage.
Beautiful cabin set in a lovely setting. Quiet. Peaceful. Sat outside at night, looking at the stars and listening to the coyotes communicating down the valley. Loved it!
This secluded cabin located in scenic Northeast Iowa allows you to experience nature all with the comfort of modern living. The cabin is just 14 miles north of Decorah, home to Luther College and many attractions, shops and restaurants. You can view the famous Decorah Eagles in person instead of YouTube, see the beautiful waterfall at Dunning Springs, hike or mountain bike the many miles of trails in Dunning Springs and Palisades Park, visit Decorah's Norwegian museum, then taste award winning beers at any of the three breweries in the area. Toppling Goliath and Pulpit Rock are in Decorah and Pivo is just a few miles south in Calmar. There are also several wineries in the area.
Take a scenic drive on one of many winding tree-lined roads. Visit one of the caves in the area - most offer guided tours. Seed Savers Exchange, boasting a bank of heirloom seeds is just 12 miles to the east. The cabin is just 12 miles south of Spring Grove, MN where you can tour a distillery and the famous Spring Grove soda pop factory.
There is no end to the activities and attractions. Wisconsin Dells, Effigy Mounds and the Mississippi River are all close enough for a day-trip.
