We loved this cabin but...
We loved this cabin becuase there was plenty of room and a very cool cabin with a great view. Now comes the but part, the cabin needs to be cleaned better. There were spider webs everywhere, we had to wipe down everything when we got there because you could feel dirt on the counters, last but certainly not least we moved the couch to plug our phones in and we found a hopefully unused diaper... We can't make this stuff up. Also the owner should really say in the description that the ride up to the cabin is steep and not recommend for people who are nervous drivers or bad drivers. Things should be updated for example the lights should be LED something small but a big difference because we had two lights go out when we were there and we couldnt find replacement blubs. And lastly the hot tub is touch and not to reliable. But other than that the cabin is great!
Thanks for staying at our cabin and for your helpful comments. We've had our cleaner for several years and usually get rave reviews as to the cleanliness of the cabin, so we're very sorry we did not meet out standards for your stay. We'll try to do better next time. And per your comments, we've restocked the cabin with long-lasting LED light bulbs and had the hot tub worked on. In the future, if any of our guests have ANY issues with the cabin, please let us know right away so we can send the cleaner or handyman to make things right.
Also, our cabin is about three-quarters of the way up a mountain, which is what gives it such a nice view. There are paved county roads the whole way to the cabin and we've never known anyone to have any issues with navigating the roads, but they might seem somewhat steep in places for people who aren't used to driving in the mountains. We'll try to do better to let people know what to expect on the drive to the cabin in case they've got any concerns.
Thanks again for your review.
This is a very peaceful, beautiful, and clean cabin that is perfect for a break/escape.
Our experience was great here! Hayden was very helpful and wanted to make sure everything suited us well. The cabin is beautiful and very relaxing. It was very clean and has everything you need. It is close to Gatlinburg and other areas for food/entertainment, yet in a peaceful and quiet area. The hot tub is a great addition and was nice to have! Our stay was fun for everyone and all of us would love to come back here.
So Comfortable and well equipped!
We spent a week hiking in the smokies and stayed in this cabin. It was a great place to come home after a long day Hiking and relax. There were 7 of us and we fit very comfortably! It was easy to find and fairly close to the hikes. After the first day I didn’t even need to use a gps to get where I was going. The kitchen was well equipped with a great variety of pans, pots amd even a slow cooker. There was also more silverware than we could ever need. The shower had good water pressure and it was tall which I appreciated as a 6’ 3” guy.
Communication before the trip was excellent, Hayden was very intentional about making sure I had no unanswered questions going into my stay.
Overall my stay was excellent, would certainly recommend! 10/10!
Very sweet cabin
This is a very sweet little cabin. We were not very lucky with our weather for our stay, but the cabin was perfect for our group. Well equipped and cozy. Would definitely stay again.
Cozy comfortable quiet very relaxing.
Great property, wonderful location
We recently spent a week here and were not let down in any way. The cabin itself lived up to expectations. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were all in good condition. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. Pots and pans have seen better days, but more than serviceable. It's in a beautiful, fairly secluded spot a good ways up the mountain and the views are incredible. The owner was very accommodating. We were snowed into the cabin for a couple days and thought we might have to stay past our arranged checkout and he could not have been more understanding, and in fact encouraged us to stay longer if it wasn't safe to leave.
One warning-- if there is snow or ice on the ground, stay put. The roads are extremely treacherous which we found out the hard way. We received bad advice from a local about the roads being cleared, and we came heart-stoppingly close to sliding off the mountain, and there is not a bit of exaggeration in that statement. I have an all wheel drive vehicle and it didn't make a bit of difference. We were damn lucky to survive that road. It's not often that they get much ice or snow accumulation so it won't likely affect you, but just in case consider yourself warned.
