In my twenties, I was a flight attendant and developed a love for travel. It brings me great joy to meet folks from all over the world and all over the US. Since leaving the airlines I have worked as a caseworker for children who have been abused, neglected and abandoned. It is my life's mission to fix systemic issues to ensure a healthy and safe community.
Luisa purchased this Townhome in 2016
Why Luisa chose South Tabor
It is quiet and private, the building sits off the main roadway. It is exactly as seen in the pictures. I have remodeled this home and furnished it with items I found to be most comfortable and lovely. My hope is to rent it to folks who are considerate and show as much respect for my property as one does their own home. The rental is for up to six people.
What makes this Townhome unique
The townhouse is just south of Mt Tabor. It is 5.5 miles from downtown. And 8.9 miles from the Airport. It's a lovely, two-story space. A recently remodeled kitchen. Washer and dryer for convenience. Reserved parking spot. Excellent WiFi. There is a smart TV in the living room. The TV allows you to enter your HBO, Netflix, HULU, etc. account numbers. There is also an HDMI extension to use with your laptop for Amazon Prime, DirectTV, or Comcast programming. It is fully equipped with sheets, towels, dishware, cookware, iron, ironing table, hair dryer, etc. Also, for your convenience, there is a 24-hour check-in. Check-in is at 3 pm or later.

Place was very clean. The couch in the living room folded out into a bed in an unusual way, but was very comfortable. No issues, would stay again.
Clean and prepared
The space was so clean and I am in love with the orange chairs!! There are plenty of amenities for what we needed! The kitchen was so new and beautiful!
Convenient bus service to downtown Portland. On weekdays buses run every 15 minutes.
Had a small problem with VRBO: VRBO was supposed to send email one or two days before the rental started, giving us the actual street address of the property and instructions for how to get in. VRBO did not send the email. On Day 1 of rental we wrote to the owner via VRBO, who gave us the street address and the code for unlocking the door.
Some street noise. Air conditioner kept us cool and provided white noise to drown out the street noise.
Good location in the middle east side of Portland. Not the best part of town, but also definitely not the worst. Our little one enjoyed having her own room and she slept like a log the whole trip. Kitchen had everything you could want. The outdoor seating area, though small, was very lovely. Also, Luisa was wonderful to work with and checked in when we first got there to make sure we had everything we needed.
First time in Portland
The property was exactly as advertised and the owner was easy to communicate with. Never having been to Portland before I wasn't sure of the neighborhood-if we decide to come back we would probably stay somewhere else just to explore a different part of the city but not because of anything at this property.
As a side note, our family is on the tall side and we all had trouble with the shortness of the showerhead but other than that, everything was great.
Clean and comfortable for the price
Clean and comfortable but a bit loud. We would stay here again.
