The area is known for its excellent restaurants and traditional taverns, and there is no better neighbourhood in the city in which to partake in the classic Madrileño pastime of enjoying some early evening drinks and tapas. The elegant Plaza Mayor is the doorstep, the famous Puerta del Sol and impressive royal palace are both nearby, and the recently refurbished Mercado de San Miguel - an elegantly glass-covered food market - is just around the corner and is the perfect place to pick up local delicacies. There are a number of metro and bus stops within easy reach, and a nearby supermarket itself stocks everything guests may need during your stay. The apartment has been fully renovated to the highest standard, with a real emphasis on quality and style. The open-plan living room is bright and spacious, with large windows that look out onto the lively street below, and a classic Spanish balcony that is perfect for sitting and enjoying breakfast or an after-dinner drink. Surface Area: 90 m2. Second floor (no lift). The entrance leads into an open living dining room with 2 French windows facing out onto the street. This area is furnished with a 3-seater sofa, a bench, a wooden coffee table, 2 side-tables with lamps, shelving with LCD TV and a DVD player. The dining table has seating for 6. The modern kitchen, right on the entrance hallway, is equipped with a fridge / freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine / dryer. There are three bedrooms: the master suite consists of a double room (king-sized bed 1.80m x 2.00m) and table with 2 chairs in the windowed balcony; 1 double (queen-sized bed 1.50m x 2.00m); and 1 twin interior bedroom (with 2 single beds 0.90m x 2.00m, and one extra bed underneath another. There is an additional closet in the hallway. There are two bathrooms both with walk-in showers. There is laminated flooring throughout the apartment except for the kitchen and bathrooms, which are both tiled.

My family and I really enjoyed this property. Its in a great location, steps away from Plaza Mayor, 5 minute walk away from the Sol Subway station and supermarket. The apartment is very well equipped. Mihai Popescu of Home Select was great. He made sure all of our needs were met. Would definitely stay here again.
From the very moment I submitted my inquiry to know if the flat was available, the entire experience has been absolutely incredible. We were visiting from the United States so my husband and I were looking for a property to spend Thanksgiving week with our family and we couldn’t have made a better choice. The photos DO NOT do it justice, the flat is gorgeous. The bedrooms are decorated with so much taste and were very clean upon our arrival. The location is steps away from Puerta del Sol and walking distance to most major attractions within the immediate area (we even had a Hop on Hop off bus stop at our door step “Mercado de San Miguel stop”). We had basic toiletries included with our stay and enough toilet paper to last us all weekend. Spain Select was able to arrange roundtrip transportation from the airport for an additional fee (which was extremely reasonable). The drivers to and from were very professional and most importantly always on time. We took a flight from New York to Madrid that landed at about 9am and although our check in was not until 4pm… because no one had booked the flat the night before, they were able to accommodate our early arrival and for that we will forever be grateful. Our guest service rep Alex greeted us and gave us a tour of the flat, even provided us with a map of Madrid with suggestions on what to do in the area. We would 100% recommend this rental and any other of their rentals to anyone who is looking to stay in Spain (actually, we already have). This was our second time in Madrid in less than 2 years, and we are already planning our next trip. My only regret is not knowing about Spain Select sooner, they will forever be are go to option when booking accommodations in one of our favorite countries!
Perfect location. Lacks elevator to 3rd floor but one is being installed. All the amenities were as described. Highly recommend this apartment.
This was the perfect location to see Madrid. Just off the Plaza Major in the heart of old Madrid. Just a few steps from San Miguel Market and near shopping as well. Very easy to walk everywhere. The guy greeting us at the property was right on time and very thorough in going over the details of the property. Very professional. The only challenge was getting our heavy suitcases up the several flights of stairs, but, well worth the effort. I would definitely rent this place again when we return to Madrid.
