Part of the iconic Torre de Madrid building in the Plaza de España square, this spacious two bedroom apartment combines a great central location with a comfortable and stylish interior. Plaza de España is one of the city’s most vibrant squares, and sits at one end of the famous Gran Via avenue, which itself is lined with international brand name stores, theatres, bars and restaurants. The nearby Calle de Princesa is one of the best shopping streets in the whole city, and is home to a number of original language cinemas. A short walk away from the apartment is the peaceful Templo de Debod inner-city park – with its wonderful views over the Madrid sierra and peaceful atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to kick back and relax at any time of day. The apartment itself is situated on the 23rd floor of this recently renovated building, and features great views from every room. The living room is open-plan in design, with a comfortable sitting area and dining table for four. Just off the living room is the modern kitchen which has been fully equipped for everything guests may need during their stay. Each of the two bedrooms has been decorated in a contemporary style in keeping with the rest of the property and the brand-new bathrooms feature large walk-in showers. Guests can make use of the building’s modern facilities, including a gymnasium, swimming pool and sun deck, and 24-hour concierge service. Surface Area: 72 m2. 23rd floor: Entrance leads to living room and dining room. The living room is furnished with a 3-seater sofa, a designer chair, a glass coffee table, a plant, shelving with LCD TV and a wooden dining table for 4 people. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, including fridge/freezer, oven, 4-ring ceramic hob, dishwasher and washing/dryer. There are two bedrooms (with fitted wardrobes): 1 master bedroom (queen-sized 1.50m x 2.00m) with 2 bedside tables; and a double bedroom with 2 beds (0.90m x 2.00m) and an en-suite bathroom with 2 wash basins and walk-in shower. There is a second bathroom with walk in shower. Please note there is wooden flooring throughout the apartment except for the bathrooms and kitchen, which are tiled.

Stylish and comfortable accommodation

A compact but very attractive, scrupulously clean and well laid out apartment, fully equipped with high quality appliances, equipment and furniture to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free stay. The central location meant it was easy to get to any part of the city or enjoyable to just stroll round the shops, bars, sights and parks that surround Plaza de España. Alternatively, the amazing view of the Palacio Real and whole expanse of the southwest of the city from the balcony meant staying in was equally enjoyable. Dealing with the Spain Select team from initial booking to arrival and subsequent departure was a pleasure as all were helpful and efficient. For us the apartment provided the best of both worlds, being an oasis of calm comfort in the centre of this vibrant and exciting city. With excellent city transport by bus and metro available from the Plaza every museum, gallery, restaurant, arcade, theatre, monument, park etc is within easy reach. There is so much do do and see that it is impossible to be bored in the city. Our favourite restaurant is Botín, near Plaza Mayor. It seems "touristy" but actually remains totally authentic and is a facinating place to eat real "comida madrileña". Nearby, the old covered market (Mercado de San Miguel) is an amazing place for a pre-lunch/dinner drink with or without tapas... If you feel like you'd like a bit of "culture" with your food then on Sundays the Westin Palace Hotel (Plaza de las Cortes) offers the most exquisite buffet lunch to the accompaniment of opera singers. Most of Madrid has hustle and bustle most of the time thoughout the year but for a slightly quieter place to enjoy a drink (or two...) the Plaza de Santa Ana has great terrace bars in good surroundings. For a bit of contrast to the big city day trips by train to Toledo (from Atocha) or to Segovia (from Chamartín) are fascinating, whatever the weather. Madrid and its surroundings has something (a lot in fact) for everyone and the apartment in the renowned Torre de Madrid is a perfect base from which to explore, exploit and enjoy your stay.

Beautiful Apartment

I rented the apartment for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and it turned out to be an excellent choice. I was a bit sceptical that the photographs might not reflect reality but they really did. It was beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. On arrival I called the spain select team and we were met at the building by a member of staff who was very helpful, providing us with information on local amenities and tips for places to visit, restaurants etc. The little welcome pack of tea, jam, milk, etc was a great finishing touch to make us feel welcome.

The location was great, we walked everywhere. As it was a bank holiday weekend there was a festival in La Latina every evening, which was easily walkable and we were never short of options for places to eat and drink.

The only slight downside was that the pool was in fact in the shade until around 4pm in the afternoon, and it was one of the main reasons we picked the apartment, however the balcony did get the sun most of the day.

Wonderful Rental

We had the pleasure of renting this apartment in Torre Madrid for 4 weeks. It was the perfect place to relax and plan our day or to end our day enjoying a beautiful sunset from the terrace. The apartment comes fully furnished with high end appliances and everything one might need in both the bathroom and the kitchen. It was spotlessly clean with freshly starched linens. We have rented from VRBO many times and this is the first apartment where all we had to do was find fresh flowers to make it feel like home. I would highly recommend this apartment to any discerning traveler.
