The apartment has recently been completely refurbished under the instruction of a well-known, local architect. Considerable attention was paid to all of its details; the highest quality materials were used; and first class furnishings were carefully selected. The layout of the apartment was adapted to take full advantage of the property's space and abundant light, the latter of which enters the space from the apartment's seven exterior windows that flood in natural light thanks to the absence of tall buildings in front of it that could otherwise block out the sunshine. The floors of the apartment are stone with a matte finish, and this same material has been used on the walls of the bathroom, creating a unique effect. The living room, which features a mirror that runs from the floor to the ceiling, adding an even more spacious feel to the room, connects to the bedroom via sliding doors. The flat screen TV has been cleverly inserted into the partition wall and may be rotated for viewing in either of these two rooms. The kitchen also enjoys natural light, thanks to the glass partition between it and the bedroom. This apartment also features concealed lighting, centralised air conditioning, a discreet music system and original artwork.

Surface Area: 52 m2. Second floor (no lift/elevator). The entrance hall leads first into the kitchen and then into an open dining / living area with two large windows overlooking the tree-lined square. The kitchen, with wooden countertops, is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a small refrigerator / freezer, toaster, coffee maker, 4-ring ceramic hob (stove), oven / microwave, dishwasher, washing machine / dryer and it has a 4-setting dining-room table that is an extension of the kitchen. The living room is furnished with a 3-seater sofa, an ottoman, a wooden coffee table, a chaise lounge, a 32" LCD TV with a DVD player and a music system. The master bedroom (queen-sized bed 1.50m x 1.90m), with 2 bedside tables, has a fitted wardrobe. There is a bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Would have gave 4,5 stars if there was a possibility. Liked the apartment. Everything was clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Javier was very helpful. Location was great. Only thing that was confusing was the payment system. It was not easy to read out from booking.com that the payment should be made in 3 parts.
Were met at the apartment by Xavier who was excellent in both showing us everything we needed to know about the apartment and giving us pointers in what to see around Madrid. The only negative we had about the apartment's location was that it is located right next to the local rubbish bins which were very noisy day and night with people dropping off their rubbish, bottles, et cetera and the council collection which seemed to happen twice a day.
We loved this beautifully renovated apartment. It was small but had all the latest features including a wonderful kitchen and bathroom. The view was very nice and the location could not have been better. it is located close to the Royal Palace and other venues - easy walk all around the city center. There are also many good restaurants close-by although we became regulars at the one down the street that has the outside eating area overlooking the viaduct, park, and cathedral near the Royal Palace. Great food and great prices.
J'ai séjourné avec mes deux filles dans cet appartement : le séjour fut très agréable. L'appartement est très bien situé, proche de tout aussi bien des monuments et musés principaux que des commerces et restaurants. il est en tout point conforme à la description : rénovation récente et de bon goût. Le quartier est très sympa. L'accueil par SPAIN SELECT qui gère cet appartement a été formidable : Javier qui s'est occupé de nous a été très disponible et professionnel. He viajado a Madrid con mi marido y hijos y nos encantó este apartamento muy bien amueblado, ubicado en el centro más característico de la ciudad. Perfecto el entorno, con restaurantes muy buenos. Hemos disfrutado de algunas comidas en casa. El mercado de la CEbada está ahí a 3 minutos, la cocina del apartamento dispone de todo lo necessario. El diseño del espacio y lá decoracion me gustaron especialmente. Me gusta ir a un lugar donde me sienta en casa!
This beautifully designed apartment is located in the heart of what is known as Madrid de los Austrias, not far from the Plaza del Oriente, the Royal Palace and the Plaza Mayor. The apartment looks onto a small, tree-lined square that reflects the traditional style of the city's historic district, and is perfect for visitors who would like to experience "Old Madrid". There are many traditional cafes and restaurants in this neighbourhood, as well as some trendy new locales.
