Split over three levels, it is at once spacious and intimate. The open-plan living and dining room is bright and welcoming, and has been furnished in a discrete traditional style with original Andalucian furnishings and decoration. Wooden beams, tiled flooring, quality wooden furniture and an original fireplace make this a wonderful space to relax or enjoy a meal. Incredible location, incredible home.

  • 5 of 5

Miguel and his home were an incredible find for our party of five. Miguel received us personally as we arrived via taxi and showed us all the trappings of his well-appointed place. He pre-stocked the kitchen with all manner of goodies, including fruits, pastries, milk, coffee, and even some sodas and beer. You've obviously already seen the photos of the views, which are themselves incredible; however, even they don't do justice to the real thing. Miguel's home is so nice that we had a hard time leaving to see the rest of the city! I can honestly say that is without a doubt the finest HomeAway property at which we've had the privilege of staying.

Breathtaking in every way

  • 5 of 5

To add superlatives to the other reviews would be redundant but I will say if you are going to visit Granada and have the honor of staying here you will be a very fortunate person(s). From the architecture to the interior design to the drop dead gorgeous views to the most gracious and thoughtful owner ever this villa is absolute perfection! I will return. And, yes, reality is better than the photos.

most amazing house ever!

  • 5 of 5

Not only was the house clean and very well maintained but we arrived to fruit, cheese, wine and coffee choices. The location is convenient with the bus stop just outside the gate. The house history and views are magnificent! The owner was responsive and went out of his way to share the background of the house and the history of the area. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Granada-truly exceptional!

Book this place!!

  • 5 of 5

We were blown away by this villa. The description and pictures cannot do it justice. Entering through the big, old heavy door from the cobbled streets of the Albaicin, we were transported to an enchanting Spanish villa that was truly magical, from the cozy wood-burning fireplace in the living area to the million dollar view of the Alhambra and the snow-capped Sierra Nevadas from the patio. The charming owner, Miguel, is simply the icing on the cake. The location is great, an easy and interesting walk downhill to the city center. The climb back up can be difficult if you are not in to exercise but taxis and buses are readily available. We enjoyed wandering the streets of the Albaicin. We had delicious dinners at Estrella, literally across the street and Carmen Mirador de Aixa, a 5 minute walk away. Both places offer some wonderful views of the Alhambra so it is worth booking ahead and requesting a window or patio table. I want to go back!!!

Nothing Could Be Better

  • 5 of 5

This property exceeded expectations in every way: the villa is better than the pictures show; the view from the villa of the Alhambra is world class both during the day and at night when it is lit; the location is great for walking Granada.....the walk to the Alhambra and the Cathedral in central Granada is not overly difficult; there is parking at the property.....we had a vehicle but did not drive for the three days we were there; if you do not want to walk, a bus stop is conveniently right across the road from the villa; good restaurants and a convenience store are all close by.

We really liked Miguel, the property owner. He is just a very, very nice man...welcoming and helpful in every way. You will like him. He is modest but have him show you his trophies and medals (that include Olympic gold and silver medals) that he has tucked out of the way in a nondescript closet. The villa was stocked with beer, white and red wine, Coke, fruits, and cheese when we arrived. A classy place all around and we do recommend it.
