About Ricky Davidson
I am delighted to welcome you to my little piece of heaven in the Ozark Mountains of North Central Arkansas. I take pride in my cabin and love for others to be able to enjoy this peace of tranquility. Rick is a native of these mountains and this property was homesteaded by his great grandparents then passed down through the generations to his uncle. Unfortunately the property was sold a few years back. I was delighted to be able to purchase the property back and maintain it in the Davidson family and now share it with you!
Ricky Davidson purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Ricky Davidson chose Ponca
Eagles Rest Cabin of the Mountain Springs Cabins has been recently remodeled and offers most amenities that make for a terrific get-away vacation! Sit around the campfire and watch the sunset over the mountains while listening to the symphony of crickets, coyotes & song birds, or snuggle up in front of the gas fireplace while watching a movie on satellite TV. There's also a hiking or biking trail leading from the front door of the cabin, through the woods and around to a bluff area with year-round spring and seasonal waterfall which would make a terrific picnic spot! Feeling up to site-seeing or outdoor sports? There's an abundance: Elk watching in Boxley Valley located 5 miles away, floating or swimming in the Buffalo National River, hiking the numerous National Park trails all within a few minutes drive from the cabin, fishing for trout in the next county over, shopping and exploring historic Eureka Springs located just 45 min away or even taking in a show at Branson MO located just an hour drive away!

The cabin was all that the web site promised. We loved the sunsets and the tranquility of the place. Will be back
cabin was everything we expected. Owner was very helpful and was very knowledgeable when asked about the local things to do. Sunsets were the most beautiful part of our stsy
When we arrived at Eagles Rest, the first thing our kids said was, “this feels like home away from home!” We all loved the warm, inviting, cozy cabin. The decor was charming and comfortable. The area was so quiet and peaceful. We went canoeing, hiking and ziplining during our visit and enjoyed the calm of nature. Such a pleasant way to enjoy our spring break! Thank you for a lovely experience!
Beautiful view and comfortable space in a secluded, remote area
Excellent mini library of local reference books. Ideal base for hiking and river trips.
Private and secluded with great scenery,
We had a wonderful stay at Eagle’s Rest! It was absolutely private and so peaceful. It was a really good place to get away from it all. The sunsets were amazing. We saw deer, rabbits, hawks, and heard coyotes yipping at night. The furnishings, linens, and all other items in the cabin were very good quality. The bed downstairs was super comfortable, and it had buttery soft sheets. We did not stay upstairs, but it looked very comfy. The jacuzzi tub was heavenly! The cabin was clean. The grill was in excellent condition. We also had excellent cell phone reception. The property owners also have a Berkey water filter sitting on the edge of the kitchen sink. The kitchen was fully stocked with any implement you could need to cook. The only complaint I have, is that we didn’t stay longer!!! We highly recommend this cabin!
