About Robert and Lina Liberace
We (Rob and Lina Liberace) are artists who love to create, play baseball (Rob), antique (Lina) and to renovate old spaces. We have two daughters (also artists) and two tabby cats (not artists). We spend a lot of our time traveling - It helps that Rob teaches art workshops in the US and overseas. We hope that the country house we've thoughtfully updated and renovated brings others the same joy and relaxation it brings to us. We have tried to provide the same conveniences to our guests that we would like to have when traveling.
Robert and Lina Liberace purchased this House in 2013
Why Robert and Lina Liberace chose Scott
We were very lucky to find this charming house in a wonderful location. With artistic energy and elbow grease, it is now a little gem in the heart of the most beautiful area in Virginia - the rolling hills of the Piedmont region. It is in the country yet close to so much!
What makes this House unique
Enjoy artwork and antiques in beautifully renovated home in Virginia's rolling foothills. Outside you can sip wine on the large deck looking over an expansive lawn. Swing on the tree swing, lie down and stargaze in the backyard, or enjoy the grill or fire pit. In the distance you'll hear roosters crowing and horses neighing from across the road. Just two miles in both directions are lovely little towns with great coffee shops and upscale shops and farm-to-table restaurants. Eight miles to the north is Middleburg, with its Hunt Country charm. Surrounding us are more wineries and antique shops than you can ever do in a weekend. It is hard to believe that Washington DC is only one hour to the east.

The place was as good as advertised. The owners were very kind and courteous. We enjoyed our stay there throughout.
Thank you Jay and friends!
Great Weekend Getaway
We came for a Friday - Sunday retreat. An hour away from home in Alexandria but felt like a million miles. Check-in and check-out was a snap.
The house was clean and well appointed. Plenty of space in the kitchen and everything we needed to prepare our meals. The sun room is terrific for sitting. We enjoyed the DVD collection (it rained quite hard on Friday night!) and the fire pit (Saturday was gorgeous, perfect for sharing a bottle of wine outside).
It's a bit close to the road, so we could hear lots of traffic but never so much that it was overly bothersome. Never could get the bluetooth to work on stereo but the radio worked well enough. The Internets seem to work only in the sun room, but cell service (ATT) is strong enough.
Bob and Lina were gracious enough to let us have a couple extra hours on Sunday morning before we checked out, which we appreciated. Made for a nice lazy morning. And a great trip overall.
Perfect Respite in this Charming Clean and Comfortable Cottage
This cottage was a perfect escape with its beautifully serene landscape and charming interior. My sister and I took our mother for a birthday celebration weekend. The home has an older charm with all the comforts of modern day. The bedrooms were very comfortable and fully stocked with extra blankets and pillows all of which smelled freshly laundered (my favorite!). Not only was Lina extremely responsive and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area but was very generous in leaving a bottle of wine for us to help us with the birthday celebration. There was coffee and sugar available for us to use until we could get to the store (such a wonderful touch). The property is absolutely beautiful and nicely kept and the fire pit area was an added bonus! The home's layout allowed us to feel we all had our own space for quiet moments as well as a comfortable space where we could all be together.
Round Two! - We loved it so much that my husband and I stayed the following weekend!! We enjoyed watching several DVDs from their library. The circular driveway makes it easy to get in and out. We enjoyed everything about this property! We left a couple of personal items behind and when I reached out to Lina she made it very easy for us to get them back.
Thank you for making two weekends as perfect as they needed to be!
Would highly recommend!!
Thank you for all the kind words, Linda! We are so happy to know it worked out so well for you and your family! Rennovating the house was a labor of love and we are happy when we hear it puts out good vibes. Thank you for staying - you all were the perfect guests. We hope to have you back!
Clean, convenient and quaint
Very nice cottage that is clean, well decorated and has many amenities. Its away from the city yet in close proximity for day trips. Owners were quick to respond.
Thank you Alan and family. You were wonderful guests and we are so glad the house worked out well for you. We really got a kick out of the tiny twig and pebble structures your kids built in the driveway! So sweet! Thank you and we hope to have you back!
Rob and Lina
We were in the area for our sons wedding and stayed here. It was a lovely cottage and grounds. It snowed during our stay and our 5 yr old grandson (from Atlanta) loved playing in the yard/deck. We would stay again, and would also highly recommend it to anyone that doesn’t want to stay in another boring hotel!
Thank you, Judy and family! You were perfect guests and we would love to have you back any time. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay!
Perfect size for 8 people
Robert and Lina were very responsive with any questions that I had which was very helpful. The house was the perfect size for 8 people. The house is also in the perfect location - just miles within several wineries and cideries!
