Our family purchased this townhouse as our weekend and summer vacation getaway. Our children grew up enjoying all Tahoe has to offer. Skiing, boarding, boating, beaches, tennis, pool, hiking, biking... it's all at your doorstep. we chose this complex because it was small (about 50 townhomes) and most places are just used by the owners. It is very quiet and never crowded. We love just sitting on the deck and relaxing, surrounded by forest and beautiful views. Plenty to do right in the complex. Relax by the pool or on the private beach. Launch your boat nearby (Coast Guard Station launch) and cruise the lake. Don't have a boat? Rent one. Go Para Sailing or rafting on the Truckee River. Miles of bike paths to explore along the lake or river. A paradise for Mountain Bike lovers. Or just sit back and enjoy the game on TV with a cold drink. If you are looking for a quiet get away, this is perfect. If you want action, Casinos and night life is a short drive to Reno or Incline Village.
Enjoyed our Time at North Shore very much. Have already recommended this property and the concept to others. Very, very quiet, great chance to enjoy the outdoors while BBQing on the deck.
I owe Lyle and Mary for what turned out to be the highlight of my summer. By a miracle of miracles their gorgeous vacation home was still available while I was trapped in less than stellar accommodations in a different part of Tahoe. Displaying the utmost patience for a complete Tahoe-newbie like myself, they hooked my wife and I up with this fantastic property. Trip saved! We spent the week hanging out on the private sandy beach, chatting with the families that had owned there for generations, and taking our kayaks in and out of the complex's super accessible docking space. We were so happy we barely left the property even though it had great proximity to markets/food/anything you need. I can't wait to go back for another relaxing week. Thank you both, you saved the day!
We had a wonderful time. Great beach and pool. Easy to get to and the place was terrific. Lyle was a great host. Can't wait to come again in the winter.
We booked a last minute trip and found this lovely condo. Both Lyle and Mary were fantastic....accommodations were great...quiet, beautiful, and family friendly....a little peace of Tahoe paradise. Easy access to Tahoe City...awesome beach and BTW....Sugar Pine Cakery down the road was delicious!
Wonderful stay at this Tahoe condo. Spotless, cozy and well-equipped. We especially loved how there were tissues and
The condo was clean, surprisingly spacious, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay in Tahoe. Check in was easy and the landlords were very nice and helpful if we needed anything. The unit is quiet and the location was great-perfectly close to Squad valley and even closer to downtown restaurants and stores.
Great for a ski trip with easy access to Tahoe City for dinner, groceries and ski shops. It's an easy drive to Squaw/Alpine in one direction and another towards Northstar. We wished there was a hot tub to soak our bodies after the slopes but the fireplace and TV in their living room with comfy couches did the trick. The balconies offer great views of the lake through the trees. Mary and Lyle were pretty accessible via text and email but everything was self-explanatory so we didn't need them much for anything. The 10am check-out worked out for us as we were headed for Squaw early in the morning but it might be rather early for those who are not there to ski.
