Enjoy the beautifully wooded and serene setting as well as the magnificent mountain and valley views. Take beautiful walks/ hikes and enjoy nature at its best.
If snow skiing is on your agenda, Cataloochee Ski Resort is less than 8 miles away (Shuttle bus available at Ghost Town).
We had a fantastic trip - saw lots of elk, beautiful snowy scenery up towards Clingman's Dome, and we were very pleased with the restaurants in the area. The view from this cabin is the best we've ever had, day or night - there is nothing better in this world than sitting in the hot tub on a cold night with the twinkling lights of the town below! The fireplace was awesome and the Staffords provided excellent customer service. The cabin was clean, conveniently located to "downtown" Maggie Valley, and a good value for our dollar. The drive up and down the mountain was quite adventurous, but worth it. I deducted one star because of the carpet (we prefer wood floors, but it was reasonably clean), the less-than-stellar mattresses and because one toilet handle was detached from the flapper (we tried to repair but only had a piece of string to work with). With a few cosmetic upgrades and better mattresses and bedding, this cabin could probably rent for twice what we paid.
Spent Thanksgiving weekend with family. Cabin was very clean. Cozy with all the amenities of home. Great views. Nice hot tub. Grandchildren loved roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Would definitely book again. It is indeed a "Slice of Heaven" with "$1,000,000" views.
we enjoyed our time in this cabin. The Staffords were flexible with our schedule. We enjoyed the lovely view from the deck especially watching the ever changing sun/shadows on the surrounding mountains It was fun attracting the birds and hummingbirds to the feeders. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin was quiet and private.
Would love to go back !
Absolutely gorgeous views. Cabin has everything you need to enjoy a home away from home. Cabin was clean and well appointed. Would not hesitate staying here again. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. Owners are prompt in all communications.
Stumbled upon this jewel searching through VRBO...and boy were we lucky! My wife and I needed a long weekend away from life and kids to recharge. This was the perfect destination. The cabin is simple, but well appointed. Ample space...comfortable bed...all the kitchen basics...Wifi and Direct TV. But the greatest asset of this property is the deck...with its views...and the hot tub! This 'Slice of Heaven' was exactly what the Doctor ordered. And the views....$1 million is an understatement. BOOK THIS PLACE NOW!! You will not be disappointed.
Spectacular view, great getaway, very quiet and peaceful. Happen to be there on July 4th and were able to get a clear view of the fireworks from the porch. Relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed every day of our vacation.
