The farmhouse is over 250 years old located in a pretty village called Gharb in Gozo in an alley not far from the church. It has been recently refurbished and has energy-saving lighting, solar heating system, pv panels on the roof to generate electricity as well as shading the upper two bedrooms. The entrance is through an old farmhouse door into a courtyard which leads onto a kitchen/dining/lounge room (previously a mill) room and then onto the pool deck are which is complete with BBQ, sunbeds, umbrellas and table and chairs for outdoor dining. There is also a twin bedroom with an ensuite shower, w.c. and toilet accessible from the courtyard. From this courtyard an open staircase leads to the sunny south facing terrace half way up and then to the two bedrooms, one with an ensuite shower and the other with an ensuite bathroom. The latter bathroom is also accessible from an external area. The bedrooms have stone arches and timber beams and the main bed is located in an alcove. There is also a beautiful stone balcony with extensive views of the countryside, the lighthouse Ta' Gordan and the Ta' Pinu Basilica.

Cute little villa right in the heart of the town. It is situated right across from the church and there are a few restaurants close by. We really enjoyed sitting on the outdoor balcony listening to all the festivities going on at the church...... so relaxing!!!!! This location is not far from Xlendi and The Azzure Window, both great areas for the views and swimming! Carmen left coffee, ham, bread, cheese, milk, juice and wine for the beginning of our stay which was very nice since we arrived very late and didn't have time to pick anything up. There is a Lidl not far from the house which we used several times, pretty convenient! We would definitely stay here again!!!!!
This is truly a home away from home with a twist. The property is well looked after, properly equipped and has many interesting features to be discovered. The owner was very responsive to emails and extremely helpful with any questions I had. As this is based in Gharb, Gozo the nearest town is Victoria. Parking is a major issue in Victoria. There is a Lidl just outside of Victoria which we found most handy. It takes approximately 30 minutes to the port to get the ferry to Malta. The crossing takes approximately 20 mins. You pay the fare on the return to Malta not from Malta. It is another 45 mins to the airport. Ta'Mannani is a gem of a property in the heart of the village in Gharb. Be aware that because of this you are right next to the church and the bells rings at odd times of the day and night. However, anywhere in Malta and Gozo you are never to far away from a church, so bells are part of the deal when visiting this magnificent country. Gharb itself has a lovely restaurent and general store. It is a lovely place to vacation with family and friends. We loved it and will most definetely go back. I highly recommend this property and wish I could think of another reason to hire it again. Just on thing to note. The property is down a one way street to the right of the church. To assess it, take the left fork, turn immediately to the right and again up a narrow side road turn immediately to the right for parking which is in the square next to the church. We had no problem finding parking but did get parked in on Sunday morning during Mass.
Amazing experiance, would visit again
We had a fantastic stay at this property, it was well equipped, clean and the pool was just the right size. The house came equipped with a variety of different features which made our stay more pleasurable, such as a BBQ, DVD and other sorts of games which could be enjoyed by the poolside. Furthermore, we were welcomed with some items such as dairy products and other small necessities which was really nice. In addition to this, the owner was very helpful and replied within a few hours and the caretaker was also just a message away to help us with anything we needed. The only drawback was the fact that the property is located next to a church and sometimes the church bells were a bit of a bother early in the morning. Furthermore, we visited at a time were the village feast was being held, which made access to the property by car a bit difficult since the roads surrounding it were closed. In spite of this, our stay was still a highly pleasurable and we highly recommend this property if you want to have a relaxing holiday at a very fair price.
This was our second time we stayed in this house for a lovely weekend break with our friends who came from Italy for a visit. The house is just lovely, in a unique setup, very clean & comfortable. The house is equipped with all the necessary utilities. We loved our short stay & looking forward to visit again in the near future.
Full of character
A lovely old stone farmhouse, full of character but fully equipped. We loved the arched living room opening on to the pool terrace, and climbing outdoor stairs to go to bed added to the quirkiness. Gozo is lovely. Much nicer than Malta, and the village of Gharb has a lot of interest: top-class folklore museum and craft centre, and close to the Azure Window coast.
Very nice place.
Second time i was here. This time with my family, included my two small childrens.
We really enjoyed it. Everything was perfect. Very relaxing place and cosy. Graeat location too
