Sportsman's Paradise! Wonderful Cabin located in Walhalla, MI, 25 miles east of Ludington, in the heart of The Manistee National Forest, offers thousands of acres of public land for hunting, dirt biking, ATV, and snowmobiling. The Pere Marquette River, one of Michigan's top producers of rainbow, brown, brook, and steelhead trout, Chinook and Coho salmon is only a mile away. The beautiful Ludington beaches, on the shores of Lake Michigan, are a mere 20 minutes away. Along with Little River Casino just 30 minutes away.

Relax on the peaceful wrap-around deck overlooking Casin Lake and watch the wildlife all around. On those cold nights, sit around the fire pit or snuggle in around the wood stove and enjoy the knotty pine interior of this cottage. Casin Lake is a shallow non-swimming lake. Very peaceful lake perfect to row around in the rowboats.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at the cabin for our wedding anniversary. It was everything that we had hoped for. We walked in to find a spotless cozy cabin. They also left us a bottle of champagne with a card for our anniversary gift. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset on the wraparound deck facing the lake. Speaking of the lake, the fishing is absolutely amazing!! We had a wonderful time sitting around the bonfire enjoying a couple drinks, and enjoying the peace and tranquility that this wonderful cabin has to offer. Booking this reservation was extremely easy as Carri did an amazing job at responding to my emails quickly and made sure we had everything we needed before enjoying our stay . We will absolutely stay here again! Carri, thank you so much for making our anniversary truly special!

Great Stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the cabin. It has a nice view of the lake. The lake is as described very shallow and not a swimming lake, but my husband and my dad enjoyed fishing on it. They both caught some decent size bass and they noted that the bluegill were very good size (although this is not what they were fishing for). It is also great that dogs are allowed to stay as we love to take our lab with us. He enjoyed swimming in the mucky water, but thankfully there was a hose outside that we were able to spray him off with. The deck is nice and the awning made it great to sit outside when it was sunny out! We also rode our ATV's on the little "o", which if anyone is curious is about a 25 minute ride to the trail. Thanks for a great Stay!!

Immaculate cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have stayed numerous times at this spotless, cozy, beautiful cabin in the woods. If you like to get away from the city and enjoy nature, you will love this cabin with all the amenities of home. We've fished the nearby Pere Marquette River, enjoyed the local bars, driven to nearby Ludington Beach, snowmobiled, watched the sunset on the elevated deck, hiked the woods...The cabin couldn't be cleaner nor the hosts anymore accommodating. What a great location to get away from civilization, star gaze around the fire pit, catch rays on the dock or the deck, float the river, enjoy morning coffee while deer or turkeys cruise past your window, even watch satellite TV. We've stayed here in the Winter when the temperature dropped to near 0, and were still warm and comfortable with the wood burning stove. We've enjoyed this unique place in the Summer and dread leaving it every time. You will get your money's worth and more at this awesome, incredible place in the woods.

This is a perfect cabin for a relaxing getaway. The view from the wraparound deck is stunning. Sunrises are beautiful. We saw swans, geese, squirrels and the neighbor's dog welcomed us. Walking around in the woods was fantastic. Our dogs absolutely loved it! They were able to run around everywhere and enjoy the freedom. Weather was great! The house was clean and cozy. Fire pit gave us a good fire to roast marshmallows at night. Thr wood-burning stove kept us cozy warm when it was chilly. Kitchen had a lot of items to use so we didn't have to bring our own. The owners are very nice and checked in on us when we were there. And also reached out after we left so see how our stay was. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone and we will return in the future. Great price for everything you get at this cabin. Thanks Carri and Craig!

We decided to make a dash at the salmon run in the Pere Marquette River and our expectations were blown away. The Walhalla Bridge drop in was just around the corner from the cabin with easy access where plentiful salmon and steelhead were not just spotted. This was so much fun, especially in kayaks.

The cabin was set up very well and we had everything, but the bed sheets which we were prepared for and I actually prefer. The carpet was thick and new in the bedrooms and the interior pine cabin made us feel like mountain men. We made an indoor fire and heating was not a problem without. We brought our dogs and just watched them play and finished each day with a beer. What a great place! thanks Carri and Craig
