Personal Sunset Location
Wow! Each evening we had our own personal sunset location from the lanai, with NO obstructions, due to how the property sits on Kahana Beach. And due to time of year, this property had a front row seat for whale watching! Definitely will rebook, and look forward to our return.
Really enjoyed our vacation. Being able to sit on the lanai and watch the whales was the best part of the trip. The studio had plenty of parking, was in a good area and was well equipped. No air conditioning but really didn't need it. Also it was quiet and we fell asleep to the sound of the waves each night.
My wife and I spent our 18th anniversary and had a beautiful seaside vow renewal. This location was outstanding for it's cleanliness, and it's access to the water. The ground floor location allowed us to enjoy the sounds of the surf and the tradewinds. Will definitely return to the Valley Isle resort.
Wonderful place, description of how to get there and inside. right on the water front! beautiful place, super clean and comfortable.
Great view. Recommended for couples.
First off I'll start out with the positives.
1) GREAT VIEW!
2) Kitchen is fantastic!
3) Comfortable bed!
Next a few comments that aren't really negative, but just informative.
1) There is no washer/dryer in the unit. There is a coin op on the 3rd floor, but if you are planning a longer stay, be aware.
2) The only real viewing of the TV is from the bed only. Not a big deal.
3) Bathroom is nice, but very small. The door barely clears the toliet.
Overall, a really nice studio.
About Kathryn Aylward
The owner photo is a picture of my Mom and Dad at sunset in front of the Valley Isle. They bought their first condo at the Valley Isle in 1975 and later bought Studio 106 so that there was more room for family to visit at the same time. For 40+ years, our family has made the Valley Isle our second home. Mom and Dad always went out to the beach at sunset to blow the conchs and enjoy cocktail hour with friends old and new. I am their daughter and have taken over renting the condos. I live in Portland, Oregon, and enjoy gardening, splitting wood and raising chickens.
What makes this Condo unique
Many years ago, the owners and residents began a tradition of gathering on the beach at sunset to blow the conchs and "talk story". It may not happen every evening (Sundays are your best bet) but you may get a chance to blow a conch and make new friends.
