Located a leisurely ten minute stroll from the historic Santa Fe plaza, Casita Elena is a fully restored, 125 year old, territorial-style gem featuring old world charm and contemporary amenities. Lovingly refurbished in 2004, our one bedroom attached casita has a private entrance welcoming you into the warm coziness of double-adobe plaster walls, eleven foot viga ceilings, kiva fireplace with candles (non-working) ceiling fans, air conditioning, original wood floors, walk-in glass shower, queen canopy bed with luxurious linens, fresh organic coffee, an assortment of teas, and all the fixings for breakfast. Guestbook comments from the owner

I'm not getting that so Ill just write it here and you write it for me and sigh it.

Dear Linda,

It took me 3 days before I noticed the mobile in the bedroom and another 10 before I noticed the rabbit in the kitchen!

What else is hidden in my charming, lovely casita?

I love that it felt like home from day one. You can see and feel the love that was put into it.....best of all Casita Elana has a sense of humor. I felt so at home, I truly did not want to leave.

I discovered De Vargus mall about a week before I left. You take a right on San Francisco St. till it practically runs into it. I loved Sprouts grocery store and the mall has a nice little movie theater.

The location is wonderful no matter which way your going. Thank you so much for my lovely stay.

Sincerely,

Jo Butler

Casita Elena was truly a homeaway from home

  • 5 of 5

I have had the pleasure of spending a month at Casita Elena, and cannot say enough about the wonderful landlords and the clean and beautifully decorated historic casita. I came here without my car, but it proved to be no problem, as stores and the center of town is in easy walking distance. The washer and dryer made the extended stay easy, and the generous start up provisions were very helpful. I have felt so cared for and highly recommend this beauty to anyone visiting the area. If you do bring a car, there is parking provided. The kitchen had plenty of utensils etc. to cook great meals, I really enjoyed the fireplace. You will want to come back!

Honeymoon quiet

  • 5 of 5

We got married in Santa Fe and only had a few nights for a honeymoon. Casita Elena suited us for location. But it turned out to be so much more. The property is wonderfully maintained, quiet, cool with the a/c and just the right size for two people. The owner went above and beyond providing a bottle of wine as well heart-shaped teacups and saucers and heart-shaped ice-cubes. We had to delay our departure by an hour and she was more than happy to accommodate us.

Recommended without reservation.

4th Stay at Casita Elena

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent 7 spectacular, relaxing days at Casita Elena. This is our 5th trip to Santa Fe and our 4th stay at Casita Elena. Every visit is as perfect as the last - it's the perfect spot to decompress. Linda was terrific, with her suggestion we had massages which were the best we've ever had. We toasted the start of our stay with the bottle of wine provided (a nice touch-check the frig). She has thought of everything to make your stay perfect. The location is amazing, a short walk to the square, restaurants and Caflutis the french bakery/restaurant. We will have to return sooner than later.

Cute place

  • 5 of 5

I would have to agree with another reviewer that the pictures don't do this place justice. It was very nice, very clean, and we really appreciated the thoughtful extra touches (fresh eggs and bread, bottle of wine, coffee and creamer, trader joes toiletries, etc.). I would definitely stay here again. It was also easy walking distance to downtown.

Perfect Location & Amenities in Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

Casa Elena was just perfect for our week in Santa Fe. A short 10 minute walk to the Plaza to see all the historic sites. We walked to dinner every night, the Farmers Market on Wednesday, REI and Tomasita's at the rail yard. The property is very comfortable, spotless with everything we needed. Linda was great to work with and even stocked the kitchen with a bottle of wine, eggs, juice and a loaf of bread. Very thoughtful!

Lovely rental in a great location in Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Casita Elena. It was beautifully appointed, well stocked with coffee, eggs, juice, wine, and clean and neat. We enjoyed working in the kitchen and eating some of our meals "at home" while we were visiting such an exciting city. There is lots to do and not having to drive and park was a big plus. A short walk down to the Plaza made going to the Georgia O'Keeffe museum and the shops and restaurants a breeze. Linda was helpful and responded quickly to emails so we got questions answered immediately. We would definitely stay here again.
