About Bev Vidmar
We have most of our lives in Colorado with the exception of my husband Dave who was born here. We love this state because we are very active people and have found there is never a lack of things to do and the weather in Colorado is very desirable. Outdoorsy people, we love hiking, biking, hunting, horseback riding-you name it we love to do it!
Why Bev Vidmar chose Woodland Park
We are between big city living and rural country living. We fit the bill for whatever your likes are, whether it is city shopping, or getting out in the quiet woods. We have it at our fingertips.

Ray & Carol's 1st CO vacation.
We had a great time at the Crystola Cabin. Visited family, made new friends, took in some very impressive scenery.
Great family cabin
This was the perfect place for our family of 4 to stay and experience Colorado Springs. Clean, well organized and thoughtfully stocked. Highly recommend for anyone staying in this area. The owner and her family were wonderful from the moment we booked our stay.
Love at first sight!!!
The property outside of the cabin, was just so welcoming!! There were so many decorations sitting around the area, including, a small waterfall. Lights running up the beautiful trees off the deck, planters and plants everywhere. Comfortable outside furniture on both main deck and smaller side deck. Special touches every where!! This was before we saw the inside!! Pictures on the sight, do a good job of showing exactly what is inside.... But,.. Again... Just all the special little touches!!! Everywhere... Seeing it, is better than pictures. Just loved this very special little cabin!! Can't say enough about how much we loved it and our time there. We made friends with the birds, and so enjoyed our time out on the deck, enjoying the beautiful setting, and the mountains as a majestic background. I am not going to detail all the many amazing things we saw and did... Just a few miles away from the cabin. There are many available books and info. Sources to look at in the cabin. I want to express how grateful we are for getting to share this special place, with the owners and for making us feel at home. Everthing you need is there!!! All stocked, and that was really amazing!!! And so appreciated. Many thanks to Bev, Dave and family. My husband and I loved our time in the enchanting, Crystola Cabin!!!!
We are so glad that our guests enjoyed our cabin. And the fact that they enjoyed our wonderful outdoors morning and evening before their day started makes it all the more better. Thank you both for loving it. You two were very special to us.
Charming, comfortable, clean, beautiful views
The cabin was everything we had hoped for! With plenty of room it was rustic, yet modern, with all of the amenities. The deck had comfortable patio furniture to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Close proximity to all of the major attractions. The owners, Bev and Jody, were very friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this cabin to everyone.
It was a pleasure to meet and chat with the Brusos. I am glad they enjoyed their visit and had some relaxation time at our cabin. Our goal for our guests is a stress free atmosphere--a place where they can eat and sleep comfortably while they enjoy the adventures of Colorado.
Wonderful host has thought of everything!
The Crystola Cabin was just as described except all the little goodies that the host has provided that make your stay perfect! The cabin was quiet, lovely eating area out on the patio, bedding comfortable, lots of kitchen items, coffee and goodies.,,everything was great! (Would have loved a reading light in the corner by the rocker.) Warning if it makes a diff...no TV just Netflix. But good Wi-Fi.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. And thank you for the suggestion. , which was a very good one. We will work on fixing it for our future guests. We rely so much on the suggestions from our guests and greatly appreciate them. Our goal is to make our guests as comfortable as can be in their home away from home.
Creature comforts surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains
This was our first visit to Colorado and we loved it! What a beautiful state and so much to see and do --- we hiked, went white water rafting, visited the farmers' market, attended a wedding at Garden of the Gods, walked around charming towns; there was hardly time to relax! But when we did, Bev's cabin provided a perfect oasis of comfort. She thought of everything --- dish soaps, lotions, laundry detergent, foil, cooking oil, spices and more. She even had a bowl filled with cookies, candy and fruit waiting for us when we arrived. The whole place was very clean and had lots of cozy touches like happy lights, candles, extra blankets, etc. The bed was super comfy. It was nice to feel so provided for and to not have the extra expense of purchasing all those kitchen items only to have to leave them behind. My husband asked about fly fishing and Bev made the effort to put together a folder with information regarding places to visit...very thoughtful.
We liked coming 'up the mountain' at the end of a busy day and feeling the temperature drop. It was lovely to wake up in the morning with temperatures in the upper 50s and no humidity! Quite a reprieve from the stickiness in Philadelphia.
There is so much to do in and around Colorado Springs that we couldn't possibly do it all in a week. Looks like another visited is warranted and wanted! This cabin is perfectly located near to all the sites (most within a half hour) but just far enough away from everything to feel we really got 'back to nature'. We'll be back!
Thank you so much for the great review as well as choosing us for you home away from home. We strive to make all our guests comfortable when they stay at our cozy historic cabin. A little bit of yesteryear and a lot of comforts now. Colorado is a great state and has so much to offer - summer as well as in the winter!
