Falmouth House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 3.25 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Situated on the west coast of Falmouth, this open, spacious contemporary enjoys gorgeous sunset and ocean views. Cool ocean breezes keep it comfortable all summer. This area of Sippewissett is exclusive and provides a sense of serenity and privacy. A circular drive, holding four or more cars, leads to the home. Enter through double doors to a multi-level solarium that runs the length of the house.

The first level has two large bedrooms, one twin-bedded next to the solarium and the other can be either twins or king bedded with french doors leading to a patio and an HDTV. These bedrooms share a marble bath. The master suite has a queen bed, sitting area with fireplace, marble bath and spa, and French doors leading to patio and gardens.

A grand oak central staircase leads to the second level. This large, light filled open space with a soaring cathedral ceiling, stunning furnishings and original art, features a living area with corner fireplace, a large dining area and a fully-appointed gourmet kitchen. Three sets of French doors lead to a 40 foot deck with chaises, Adirondack chairs, dining furniture, and a gas grill.

In addition, there is a den with sectional couch (sleeps two), built-in desk, WiFi internet connection, cable 46 inch HDTV, DVD Blu-ray player and dozens of games, books and puzzles. A full marble bath completes the second level.

Our private, warm-water beach on Buzzards Bay is a few steps from the house. An enclosed outside shower is available, as is a charming shed to store bicycles. The gardens and patio around the house contain wonderful places for relaxation. Overall there is a romantic quality to the property with its draped wisteria, beach roses and blue hydrangeas. Everything is included for an extraordinary experience in a special part of the world.

Perfect Family Vacation - We will return !

  • 5 of 5

From the very first contact with Myra I knew her beautiful home in the Sippewissett neighborhood North Falmouth was going to be great for our family. The experience exceeded our expectations. The home was spotless, and the layout perfect for late night conversations and catching up . The deck and grill work well for dinners, the kitchen is well equipped and the yard was large enough for a family games of "corn-hole". The location is ideal, it felt like we were five minutes from everything, great beaches, Woods Hole, and Falmouth Center. This is the 4th home we have rented over the past 8 summers and it is by far the best. We will return!

Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Let me begin with how easy it was to communicate with the owner, Myra. She quickly responded to my every message. Checking in was a breeze with Rebecca meeting us there even earlier than we expected! She showed us around so we felt at home and even gave us her number in case we needed anything.

The house is beautiful with the open floor plan, we enjoyed sharing our time in the kitchen and on the deck. A VERY short walk to a beautiful beach (with some rocky sections). We enjoyed bonfires at sunset. Everything was a very quick drive from the house/ Woods Hole ferry to Martha's Vineyard, groceries, restaurants, shops, bike trail, beaches etc. (we especially enjoyed the beach at the end of wood neck road that was a 2 minute car ride away).

Beds were extremely comfortable and house was immaculate.

The yard was beautiful and we loved playing croquet in the evenings.

I highly recommend this property

Outstanding house...

  • 5 of 5

Look no further in Falmouth area..This is an outstanding house in a great location. Perfect for a couple or for a family.

The views of the water from the upstairs deck are gorgeous, so are the sunsets over the water. The upstairs open living, dining and kitchen area is beautifully furnished. The house has all the high end amenities that one would want or wish in any rental . The spectacular art work is the icing on the cake in this property.

Very short drive to center of Falmouth for dining. A private small beach is diagonally across the street from the house.

This house is truly a rare find. Enjoy!

Fabulous Falmouth property!

  • 5 of 5

Our extended adult family convened in Cape Cod for a week's vacation in July. This is a fabulous property that affords so many opportunities for group interaction but still provides places for quiet and privacy. The kitchen and large gathering room are just terrific and the views off the very large adjacent deck are wonderful. The kitchen is very well stocked, right down to the lobster pot. We so appreciated having a few staples on hand and at our disposal in the kitchen and laundry area. The bedrooms are great and the bathrooms are plentiful! The owner provides a great assortment of books, cookbooks, games and puzzles for all to enjoy. They also left us with very detailed and helpful information on things to do in the area.

The back yard is lovely and the landscaping is gorgeous. This would be a great yard for children. There is plenty of parking spaces for several cars. There is a storage shed available to lock up bikes if you wish. This is a great place to ride bikes if you ride on the pathway, but not the local roads as they are too narrow and dangerous with traffic. Plan on taking your bikes to the pathway on your car and riding from there. We thoroughly enjoyed riding on the pathway.

The semi private beach is about a 1/2 block away from the house . Be aware that this beach is a "rocky" beach and you will need water shoes of some variety to make your way into the water. There are numerous large sandbars to enjoy once you are past the short rocky section. The beach is very quiet and we only saw a handful of other residents use the beach while we were there. The beach was great for swimming, kayaking, windsurfing, and paddleboarding. We rented numerous items and dropped them off right at the beach path. The owner generously stocks their shed with plenty of beach chairs to share.

Don't bother with any other beaches and the crowded parking lots unless you go first thing in the morning and not on the weekend.

The well stocked grocery and beverage stores are about a 10 minute drive. Wood's Hole is about 10 minutes away as are the ferries to Martha's Vineyard. We enjoyed a day on MV and a spectacular day whale watching . We recommend the whale watching tour that leaves from Barnstable. The crew was fabulous and we saw lots of whales!

I highly recommend this property! We would love to return for another visit and relaxing vacation! The owner was very accommodating and a delight to work with as we planned our stay.

Best Rental Ever

  • 5 of 5

I had never been to the Cape so this was a new experience for me. I came with my Mother and her 3 sisters and we had no idea what to expect. When we arrived at Falmouth, we could not believe the home we were staying in. It was in a great location and beautifully decorated !!! It was so spacious and had all of the kitchen things we needed to cook with. The owner checked in with us several times to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. This was so very nice we appreciated it so much. We walked on the beach and just enjoyed ourselves so much. We plan to come back again in October and rent the home because we liked it so very much.

Best rental EVER

  • 5 of 5

My husband is a Falmouth native, so we have easily rented over a dozen homes in the area over the past 15 years. This home was easily, hands down the nicest home we have ever rented. Several things made it a wonderful stay over Christmas. The area was deserted in the winter months(like a lot of the Cape), which we love. The views of the water were terrific. The bed rooms were huge, allowing plenty of room for our 12 and 15 year old. The kitchen was stocked with every thing, making it so nice to not have to run out for a squirt of mustard or a dash of hot sauce. She had everything needed for a lobster dinner for 6, plenty of fire wood and a tons of family games. The home felt very private and like a family home and not a rental. The master bed was incredibly comfortable, easily the the best we have found in any other home we rented. Towels and linens were quality, as well. The lovely home owners were there to greet us and welcome our family into their family home. I cant say enough about this property! We will clearly come back!! Thanks some much Myra and Richard for sharing your home!!
