Why Owner chose Brevard
Unique for home beauty, and specular mountain views.

Quiet getaway with the family. Unique floor plan. We enjoyed the view from the back porch. Our host was great! We will be back to visit!
Dirty House with a Great View
As advertised, the house had a beautiful view of the mountains. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and relaxing. We also loved the outside fire pit. However, there were a few negatives which would make me not visit again.
The inside of the house was not as advertised. The house was very dirty. Upon arrival, our kids took off their shoes to run and play barefoot. Within 30 minutes their feet were black from dirt on the floor. I didn't feel like we could walk around without shoes on all weekend which made me wonder how clean the rest of the house was. I had to pay a cleaning fee so I'm not sure when this is actually used for cleaning. Dishes in the kitchen were still dirty when I pulled them from the cabinets and there were hand prints on the closet mirror downstairs like it had never been wiped down before our arrival.
We also felt that this house was actually a 3 bedroom being advertised as a 4 bedroom. The "4th bedroom" is just a bed in the downstairs open living area. There is no privacy or walls so I did not consider this a bedroom.
Overall, we would not visit again unless the cleanliness of the house changed.
The floor had been cleaned with murphy's soap until the swisher cleaning pads were clean, and the dishes had gone through the dishwasher for over 2 hrs The;downstairs open bedroom is legally a bed room. Pictures gives the complete layout of the house. It is a Chalet. Not a common subdivision, box type house There were hand prints on one of the mirrors from the previous guest's children. .
Beautiful view, pretty cool
Interesting. Beautiful view. Quiet when the kids were asleep. Otherwise everything echoed. Good place for adults and older children like 11 and up
I raised three children there with no problem. Children could have been in better control.
Delightful little cabin with amazing view
It rained most of the time we were there but the one day it did clear up it was amazing as the clouds slowly revealed the mountains from the back porch! Huge fireplace for great fires and family time talking.
Very nice property with a great view
Very clean, well furnished and well maintained
Great view but the place was pretty shabby
On the positive side, the location was good and the view from the back deck was great. However, overall the interior was in pretty shabby condition. The layout was bizarre, with an open staircase in the middle of the house that ended at the door of one bedroom. It appeared that there had been minimal and somewhat amateurish maintenance and repairs done on the property. Also, there were stained towels, hairs in one of the beds, and one toilet was not properly working. There was leftover milk in the refrigerator and only one bowl for cereal, etc.. Bottom line is we won't be returning and suggest the owner invest in some upgrades and professional cleaning before renting again.
All the bedding, and towels had been washed in bleach, and laundry soap. The house had been professionally cleaned by Jeggs Cleaning service. The layout of the house was clearly shown in the many pictures presented by VRBO. Before the guest booked. The house is a chalet, not a standard subdivision type box. It is not possible to please everyone. All of my normal guests have had a great time. If the guest had opened the cabinet door they would have found 8 cereal bowels. If the guest had pushed down the flush handle on the toilet until the tank had emptied it would have worked fine. Just a little common sense would have been very helpful.
