Why Carol Hester chose Milam
Crappie House offers a unique opportunity to stay in a mid-century modern cabin and to live the good life as you lounge on the balcony or dine over the water in the screened dock house. And of course, there is the world-class fishing, not to mention the large outdoor area, perfect for creating memories with your family or friends.
What makes this Cabin unique
Few properties offer the acreage, accessibility to the lake, and the amenities that Crappie House has to offer, including a private boat launch, large fire pit and screened dock house with sitting and dining areas. Located just north of the Pendleton Bridge, Crappie House is situated at nearly the midpoint of the lake, allowing access to both the north and south ends.

My wife and I had a relaxing weekend. We would rent this cabin over and over.
We call this place a little slice of heaven. We live it because it’s quiet and secluded and the view is spectacular.
We love our visit there. It is so peaceful and restful. Absolutely something we look forward to each year.
Thank you. We are glad you enjoyed your stay -- we love having you!
Peaceful and Relaxing
Everything was as listed. It was so peaceful! Much need R&R from our busy schedules. Was able to go home rested and reset!!
Thank you for your review -- we hope to have you again at Crappie House. It truly is a peaceful getaway, and we are glad you were refreshed.
Every thing was nice and just what we been looking for. We go to Toledo Bend every year and haven’t found the perfect rental yet but this was the best so far. Unfortunately one of our main things we were looking for was a dock on the lake with light so we could night fish but the power to the dock was not working. I contacted the owners and they said they would have to schedule an electrician to come look at it but our trip end before anyone came. They had a breaker box which was on but no power. Besides that the location was perfect and the place was extremely clean. Will definitely be returning provides the power is fixed on the dock. I’m really looking forward to returning and fishing at night.
Spent the weekend with sisters honoring the one year anniversary our Mom’s passing.
She so loved the water and this cabin was the perfect place. Thank you for helping us through this most difficult time. Miss you Mom.
Thank you for your kind comment, and we are glad that the serenity at Crappie House helped you all through a difficult time. And that you enjoyed the stay.
Family get away.
Perfect place to get away and relax. Beautiful views in all directions. The homeowners have so many details covered in your stay. Comfortable furniture, board games, music, kitchen is stocked like home. Will definitely return.
