Plenty of rooms and space
Worked well for our group of 10. Everyone needed their own bed and the previous setup as a bed and breakfast worked really well. I did hear some mentions that the water pressure wasn’t that great but it was cranking out in my room no problem. Just had to let it go for a little bit and it picked up. Hot tub was nice and well kept. No problem getting Uber to the house or having a bar shuttle come. Lower floor is much larger than it appears although we didn’t use the other side much. Mainly just the ping pong area. No issues with the temperature on the top floor, just followed the owners instructions. They updated the TV from the original one in the photos to a more modern flat screen with a Roku hookup. WiFi worked well for everyone and the Bluetooth hookup to the main speakers in the living room was an added benefit (FYI with speakers that large Bluetooth compresses audio and airplay would sound better). The place isn’t glamorous but it’s big and comfortable and gets the job done very nicely. About 10-15 minutes to Killington base lodge depending on the weather and who in front of you is going up the hill to the lift.
Hi Paul, glad you stayed fine at the house. I know this is not a newer house like my other rental house 395284. It is older house, but I am a clean person, so I tried to keep things clean. Now my triplets graduated from college this year, so Ralph and I now have more time to take care of our houses. We will fix things this year, so it will look newer house soon. Thanks for staying at our house. Have a good year.
Perfect for large groups
We were a group of 20 and all had a really good time and experience. The rooms in the house were nicer and bigger in person than expected from the pictures. I was so impressed at how well the house accommodated for all of us. The kitchen was very well stocked and the kitchen and dining table were large enough to seat all of us comfortably. We were also all able to shower after a day of snowboarding/skiing and nobody complained of running out of hot water, even when all 7 showers were on at once! My only critique is that certain things about the house can be upgraded. The shower heads in most of the bathrooms were weak and sprayed out a light mist and the beds were creaky and uncomfortable for some of my friends. At night you can hear the pipes making noise and it's loud enough in certain rooms that it can definitely distract you from sleeping, especially if you're a light sleeper. However, it is an older house so it there is probably not much the owners can do about it. Tint was VERY responsive which also added to my positive experience.
Your review said that some of beds in this house was uncomfortable. I never heard about it from any renters, so please let me know the beds in which rooms are uncomfortable. I can't tell which beds , but once I hear from you, I will see if I can changed the beds. I will check the showers too and see if there's any problem . I didn't know about it as I never hear from anybody, and as I don't lived in that house. Tint
Second time this winter!
we stayed at this house twice this year, and both times were fantastic. I will not repeat my previous review, but will add the proximity of the house to Killington Mountain, to XC skiing, to some interesting towns and to other attractions like skating. We did all of those.
Another thing I did not mention in my previous review: It is such a great thing that every room has its own private bathroom! Very convenient and time efficient too.
Next time at Killington will definitely be in this house as well.
Thank you, Tint!
Thank you Ann. Glad you all had a nice time at the house. Hope to see you all again.
Great House- Great owners
Great house for a ski vacation. The house was designed perfectly for our group. We were able to enjoy our time together watching football. Or when we when we wanted to do different things there was the downstairs to accommodate all. In 20 years of ski vacations we haven't returned to any house, but we plan on returning here. Owners were helpful and friendly. Thanks.
Great house for a big group of people for skiing season
We have 6 families and stayed for 4 nights. The room is spacious and comfortable. Everything works great and the owner is easy going. The price is great. The only concern is the heating system upstairs is not properly designed. One room upstairs was 'too warm', so you may want to leave it open.
Thank you for your review and I am happy it worked out for you. There is a message left next to the thermostat upstairs to keep the themostat in the low 60's as the heat rises from downstairs and its warm upstairs, and with the heating in every bedroom, once the bedroom door is closed at night, the heat stays in the room and gets hot. There shouldn't be an issue once the instructions for the house is followed & the thermostat is turned down. We send house instructions to everyone.
Killington and Pico skiing; Sugarbush and Okemo skiing nearby; summer Peak rides and mountain bike trails; Killington Water Slide, Pico Peak Alpine Slide, Green Mountain National Golf Course, Long Trail, Appalachian Trail hiking and snowshoeing, trout and bass fishing in White River and local lakes.
