This not just lodging but an experience.
About Jackie Riekkola
I farmed this property, known as Lewis and Clark Seed Co. with my husbands family The Riekkolas from Finland . He and I modified the barn to raise sheep for meat and Wool. I love sharing the farm experience with the community every chance I get. So turning this into a vacation rental made sense.
Jackie Riekkola purchased this Cottage in 2003
Why Jackie Riekkola chose Astoria
People drive here and park and sit, watching the birds, and sheep. It draws you away from it all to and beckons you to return. It has so much just minutes from great food, art , music, and community.
What makes this Cottage unique
Experience the fully stocked 1950 Vintage Kitchen or go out just minutes away. Our dining variety is like none other for a small community. Hike the hills in Astoria and see the rich Architecture then hit the BlueScorcher Bakery, or the 14th st Coffee House. The cottage is centrally located between Astoria, the Beach and Seaside. Or just stay put and watch the sheep lamb in the Spring, get sheared inthe Fall, or the geese fly in to the fields.

Peaceful Place, Well Appointed
We really loved this place. It was fun eating our meals while watching the sheep and alpacas graze next door. Never slept better...so quiet. Although there wasn't cable TV, there were tons of videos, plus current movies via internet-based access to Prime and others. And it's just 5 minutes to downtown Astoria. Jackie the owner was gracious and kind. Would absolutely stay here again.
Charming, roomy and quiet
My husband and I so enjoyed this lovely one bedroom updated home just minutes from downtown Astoria. The beautiful vintage kitchen is fully stocked. There is a large bathroom with plenty of light and washer and dryer hidden behind closed doors. Very comfortable bed, plenty of closet space. Nice sized, comfortable sofa, chairs and flat screen TV. All this looks out on a sheep farm. Cold water with lemons was waiting for us in the frig when we got there. We highly recommend staying at The Farm. We hope to stay there again sometime.

So much thought and love went into every single detail and room. My soul has needed that love and the gorgeous ocean for SO long! This is now a yearly stay for us! Y’all have to go stay and get loved on and all the privacy you need!! Hurry. Book it my friends 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The perfect spot!
We had to go out to the area for an extended stay. We chose the farm & it was perfect! The home was very clean, comfortable & Jackie was an amazing host! We found her place to be very peaceful & relaxing as well. The newly built courtyard & fire pit was especially enjoyable when we had family over. The home is located in a great area where you are just about 3-5 minutes to downtown Astoria & close to Warrenton as well. Would definitely recommend the farm & we hope to stay there again!

Perfect family getaway! Delightful for kids and adults alike. Clean and spacious.
Our February visit was wonderful. Brand new furniture, beautiful kitchen. Loved the farm animals next door and view of the river. Very quiet, but close to shops and restaurants in Astoria, and just a few miles from the views and beach walks at Fort Stevens. A perfect winter getaway, and we'd visit in summer, too!
