Quaint A-Frame cabin with the comfort of home and stunning river front views!
Why Lyndsey Akers chose Luray
The Shenandoah Valley stole our hearts several years ago on an anniversary escape to a quaint cabin on the river, and we haven't been able to stay away since. We are thrilled to have a piece of paradise to call ours, and look forward to offering the experience to couples and families to make memories of their own. You'll soon see why we call this cabin "The Perch". Make your way to the rooftop deck to view the sights and take in the sounds of nature from above.

My friends and I truly enjoyed the cabin and all that it had to offer. The cabin was clean, the beds comfortable, and it had all the essentials needed for a fun-filled and relaxing holiday weekend. I highly recommend The Perch to anyone looking to spend a nice weekend getaway at a cabin on the river.
The BEST place on our 2-week road trip!
We did a two-week road trip of Civil War sites in Maryland and Virginia and we were unanimous that this was our favourite stop.
Disconnected wi-fi to Connect with Nature
A must see ! We spent the weekend at this quiet and cozy cabin in Luray, VA. The house is equipped with towels, plates utensils, kayak, board games... pretty much all you can think of! Well, all that was missing was Wi-fi. We were unable to get help when our car caught a flat. Luckily, we found locals that helped us repair the flat. Though Lindsey recently informed me that she has installed wi-fi. Which means I will be returning :)
The house has a phone, and when we reached out to Lindsey she was always available. I left my purse behind and days later it arrived with a pair of earrings I forgot. Thanks again Lindsey!!
The cabin has a fire pit which we used and has a sweet hammock that faces the lake. My favorite feature was the deck, it has steps that lead to the river. It was nice to wake up and have a cup of tea on the deck and watch people kayaking. Take bug spray and logs for the fire pit. Bugs bit us like crazy and we had to drive out to pick up some logs. Overall, dispite the flat and bug bites .. I recommend this location.
