Enjoy our newly built cottage and experience everything Northern Michigan has to offer. Our spacious cottage has a two story great room with lots of windows and sunlight. The deck overlooks a nature preserve where you can hike and enjoy the wildlife.
The master bedroom, located on the second floor, has a private balcony and master bath. On the main floor, there are two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a bunkbed and one twin bed. The large, second bathroom is located on the main floor.
A short walk from the cottage is our private association beach on Lake Michigan. Your family will enjoy spending the day at the beach, hiking through the nature preserve to the General Store, and discovering Good Hart, Cross Village, Harbor Springs and Petoskey.
Seven mile north of the cottage, you will find Cross Village, home of the historic Legs Inn. Further north, along beautiful M-119 is Sturgeon Bay Wilderness State Park. Sturgeon Bay encompasses miles of sandy beaches and rolling sand dunes. Mackinac Island is approximately 30 miles from the cottage and makes a great day trip.
South of the cottage you will find great restaurants and unique shopping in Harbor Springs and Petoskey. World class golfing is available at the many courses around Harbor Springs. Thorne Swift Nature Preserve has informational and fun children's programs all summer long.
Pick out your produce and home made canned goods,, feed the trout, or stop in for lunch and a micro-brew at Pond Hill Farm, nine miles south of Good Hart on M-119.

Picked this area to visit for fall break...close to everywhere we wanted to see and do. This rental was very nice...quiet location...quick walk to beach...plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to do it again in the future!! Thank you Carole for making our fall break a wonderful relaxing get-a-way!
We visited Good Hart this past summer 2015 for the first time and did not want to leave! Our experience was beyond wonderful!! Beautiful Cottage in a beautiful location. There are too many favorites to name from the homemade crepes to the beautiful aqua water. We will be returning without a doubt ;) thanks much!!
This cottage is cozy and comfortable, and just a few minutes walk from beautiful Lake Michigan! My family can't wait to go back every summer and fall.
Absolutely perfect family getaway; we have taken our family of 5 and dog for 7 years now. So much of the cottage has a lasting impact on our family: walks in the woods to General Store, Sturgeon Bay beach, exploring for sand dunes...the list goes on and on. Private, clean, cozy and preparing food and cooking is a breeze. True Up North experience; highly recommended.
We had a relaxed week in this very comfortable, quiet, private vacation home.
We found it bright and light with a complete kitchen, nice deck, playroom, and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. The birds were an attraction to us (pileated woodpeckers visited daily). My wife is an artist and spent hours with her easel on the deck and at the beach. We enjoyed the walking trails in the woods just out back, sunsets, paddle boarding, and exploring on foot, by car, and by bike. I recommend pies from the Good Hart Store, fruits and veggies from Pond Hill (and the melon launcher), the beach and dunes at Wilderness State Park. This is a great place to relax and enjoy time together.
Perfect spot for a family who likes to play outside, take walks in the woods, and have bonfires at night! We took day trips to Petoskey, Mackinaw Island, and rented a boat on Burt Lake for the day. A beautiful cottage that is filled with summer sunlight! We will be back for more. Thanks for sharing your family cottage!
