Great location with an interesting layout

  • 4 of 5

First off I want to say the location of this property is absolutely perfect. It is literally a 15 minute walk from downtown Sonoma and a 2 minute car ride. The exterior and landscaping of the property is top of the line. The owner is also very responsive and answered all of the questions we has very quickly. I stayed here with 9 other women in our 20's for a reunion and the house fit us well. The one thing I will say is that the layout is a little odd and there isn't a whole ton of privacy for sleeping. Which wasn't a problem for our group but we were saying we wouldn't feel comfortable coming back with like 3-4 couples. There isn't a door on the master bedroom (it's a red velvet curtain). The other king bed is on the 3rd level in a loft space which also has no door. The 2 bathrooms worked fine for us but ideally if we had more than 10 of us it would have been tricky. Overall the property is beautiful and in a great location but the layout of the actual house is just a little odd.

Fun Family Memories!

  • 5 of 5

my family and I stayed here last summer. We all enjoyed the home so much.. It has a hot tub on the property, but a communal pool. The communal pool isn't that bad because you only share with the other house that's on the same property. That was one of our main concerns as we were looking for more of a private pool, but it turned out to be good. You have everything you need in the home and stores are nearby. We would definitely stay here again if we were to visit Sonoma again. Jennifer was quick to respond to the questions we had. We also brought our small/medium sized dog and it was perfect for him as well. Overall it's a great property to stay at and create great memories with your friends and/or family!!

Perfect for our girls trip

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here when I celebrated my 35th birthday with 7 other girls and it fit is perfectly! There were more than enough beds and personal space for each person and we also took advantage of the large dinner table. Met Jennifer briefly in passing and she was such a sweetheart. Other than that we were not bothered and felt very comfortable and made many great memories! Hired a personal chef one of the nights and lived in our own world sipping on wine and drinks by the jacuzzi and fire pit or laughing hysterically with conversation inside. Great for girl time! Oh! And we saw a family of deer every morning.

Great home for family vacation

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay with our 3 adult children and their spouses, as well as our 2 grandchildren (3 1/2 and 1 1/2). The house is spacious with lots of sleeping options. There is a fabulous playroom that kept our grandchildren busy for hours. The property has lovely outdoor space with lots of different lounging options, including a hot tub and grill area. There is a shared pool at the house next door which is a beautiful spot, and well equipped with pool toys and lounge chairs. I was concerned that the pool would be too far away from our property but it was very convenient and was actually a plus for us with 2 small children; close by but far enough away to not worry about the children heading to the pool on their own.

Jennifer, the owner of the property, was extremely helpful; always available but not intrusive. We enjoyed some of the excellent eateries in the Sonoma areas as well as the child friendly activities in the area: the train and petting zoo and the playground in the town square were highlights for the kids.

I would definitely recommend the home to families as it is clean and well maintained and the owner was always accommodating.

Great Girls Week-end!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 nights at the Aloha house last week-end...there were 9 of us (all girls), and there was plenty of room for everyone! Great kitchen, nice jacuzzi, comfy beds...perfect set up for my birthday/bachelorette week-end. Only 2 bathrooms, but we were a group of low maintenance 40-something year olds that made it work! I would definitely stay there again! Thanks Jennifer!

Cozy Home in Sonoma

  • 4 of 5

I planned my future sister-in-law's bachelorette party in Sonoma for a long weekend at the end of August. We used VRBO to find this property and it was a wonderful home base for our weekend. There were 10 of us though the place could have slept more so we weren't too crowded. The owner takes excellent care of the property and everything was clean and welcoming. She has the place stocked with the comforts of home, so there were plenty of toiletries, kitchen appliances, blankets, books and magazines.

There was a pool available to us but it was closer to the other house on th property and the nights were cool. Instead, we used the hot tub each night and even used the fire pit, which was very cozy.

There were only two potential downsides. The weather was in the 80s during the day and 50s at night. The house has three levels and when the AC was on, the first level was cool but the other two levels remained hot and stuffy. There is only one bedroom on the first level so those sleeping on the other levels were warm. The owner provided additional fans but it was a problem for some. The owner also suggested closing blinds during the day and opening windows at night which helped too.

The other possible concern was that there were only two bathrooms. With ten low maintenance girls, we managed scheduling shower time and prep for everyone so it wasn't a big deal for us but it's something to consider for larger groups who need more preparation.

Overall, it was a wonderful property!
