About June Eiesland

I am an avid walker, biker, hiker, kayaker, skiier, and out doors person. I know all the good trails, and the less traveled spots to go enjoy. I like to help my renters find the activities they are interested in ... and also offer up things they have not even considered.

June Eiesland purchased this house in 1990

Why June Eiesland chose Portland and Casco Bay Area

I purchased this property in 1990, as a one bedroom house with a large yard, the history is it was a farm stand, "Shore Acres Roadside" before it became a one bedroom house. I added the rest of the house... to bring it up to 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a large sunroom/dining room, Kitchen, and mudroom ( laundry). In 2004 I relocated to be with my now husband and could not bear to sell my "HOME" so I have opted to rent on a short term basis, and have had many wonderful families stay and enjoy everything the home, and Cape Elizabeth have to offer. I am still close enough that I am the grounds keeper, maintenance woman ( my man helps sometime too :) and the cleaning lady. I strive to have a comfortable , clean and fully equipped "home" for every ones enjoyment.

What makes this house unique

Upon check in I always say if you need something look around it is probably here.... Umbrellas, cooler bags, back packs, books and toys for young and old. The Kitchen is probably over stocked with cookware... but that's how homes are :) . There are several beaches nearby, you can choose to walk or drive or ride a bike ( I have several of them for use) .

We love this place!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at this wonderful Cape Elizabeth house several times over the years. The home is well equipped, clean, and in a nice location - close to beaches, restaurants, and a quick drive to Portland. The back deck and giant backyard are awesome! June is a pleasure and clearly takes pride in her home. You will have a great visit!

This is a fantastic place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

I had a great time staying here while in the area for a work project. I could not have asked for a more relaxing property to come home to at the end of the day. June was a very welcoming host and made sure everything went smoothly. . . even a short notice check in! I do plan on coming back and this will be my first call for a great place to stay. Everything was just as it said on the listing an the lush landscape was incredible. There are great restaurants nearby in the area as well as in South Portland and Portland itself. All are a short, beautiful drive away.

A wonderful homey vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at June's house! It's a wonderful cottage with tons of history and charm. The garden is amazing, the yard is spacious -- my Florida kids love the soft grass and the room to roam! It's on a quiet street, but the best ice cream in the world is a nice walk away.

The house is dog friendly. We were thrilled to bring our small dog here two summers in a row. It was nice we could include our whole family on our vacation!

The landlady, June, is delightful, helpful, but not interfering.

We adore Maine in the summer, and this cottage is a great central point to explore Maine from the coast to Lake Sebago. Portland is a short drive away with tons of things to do and see. The five different summers we have spent at this cottage are some of my kids' favorite memories.

The cottage very comfortably holds our family of 4 (or 5 when we've brought the dog!), plus we've sometimes added other guests, and managed a friendly group of 9 for a few days!

A slice of heaven in Cape Elizabeth

  • 5 of 5

This is a little slice of heaven on the Maine coast. The yard is spacious and green, there are blueberries growing in the back, you can walk to the best ice cream shop on the planet, and it's only a short walk from there to Kettle Cove. The house is cozy, with a great back porch and a grill, and the sweet, clean Maine air that makes every breath a delight. Meanwhile, the Maine woods are right outside your door. Get used to seeing wild turkeys stroll through the yard, and rabbits and chipmunks peeking at you from under the bushes.

Need nightlife and shopping? You're a short drive from from Portland Maine, and a half-hour from L.L. Bean in Freeport Maine.

Some of my family's fondest memories have been made at this house. This place is a treasure. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful Family Fun Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous time and have made some great family memories at this property. We will be returning in July once again to make more. We gather in Cape Elizabeth for the beauty of the area, amazing food and good times with friends and family while participating in the Beach 2 Beacon 10K whose race course proceeds right in front of the property so perfect for cheering on our runners. This is a great property where everything you could possibly need is at your disposal.

This house has it all!

  • 5 of 5

We have been renting this home for years. The location is superb, house clean, so well stocked, toys, everything. Sometimes it's just 2 of us. Some time we have the grandchildren or friends. The plush, flowered yard and deck are so relaxing. We will return in July.
