Finca El Alcornorque is a traditional Spanish country farmhouse located in the Los Alcornocales Natural Park in Andalucía. The property is secluded in five hectares of private land beside the Rio Hozgarganta.

The house is nine kilometers from the white village of Jimena de la Frontera, a population of nine thousand the village has plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.

The house consists of five double bedrooms, four bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, a living room, dinning room, study, laundry room, various outdoor patios for outdoor dinning with seating areas, a fourteen meter pool with diving board, stables, flat grass areas for children to play, table tennis table, trampoline, barbecue, outside seating areas and a fully equipped outdoor gym with a sauna.

Finca El Alcornorque is simply furnished with UK Sky in sitting room, Spanish TV in Kitchen and sitting room. TVs in main bedrooms with DVD players, Wi-Fi and outdoor surround sound music facilities.

The majority of the house is based on the ground floor with only the master bedroom upstairs. This room includes ensuite bathroom with shower, double bed, fitted cupboards, chest of drawers, wide screen TV and double doors leading onto the balcony overseeing the pool.

The ground floor includes a fully equipped kitchen with handmade wooden worktop, breakfast bar, double sink, gas hob and electric oven. This leads onto the dining room with an open fire place, double doors leading onto both the pool area and front terrace and a dining room table which can seat up to ten people. The sitting room is next to the dining room and includes a sofa that can seat up to eight people, a fire place which is visible from both the dining room and sitting room, double doors leading onto front patio and a large TV with DVD facilities and both Sky and Spanish satellite. The study has a large desk and library whilst the laundry room includes a washing machine, dryer, sink, large sliding doors onto back patio and various storage cupboards.

Downstairs there are four bedrooms. Two bedrooms have ensuite fully equipped bathrooms. Both include double beds, cupboards, chest of draws and doors opening onto grass areas and back patio. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and bath. They both have fitted cupboards, double beds, TV’s with DVD player and large desks with views leading onto the pool area.

The Finca has a well-established garden with various fruit trees and flowering plants. There are three separate patios offering wonderful shade from the hot Spanish sun.

This unique property is extremely peaceful and is ideal for a relaxing holiday. It is perfect for two families with its large 14 meter swimming pool and fully equipped gym you can keep fit. The house offers complete a unique retreat set in its own 5 hectares within the protected natural park. The original part of the house was built in the 19 century with its thick walls and high ceilings, help keeping the house cool in the summer. The extensions where the main bedrooms are now where built in the 1980's.

What makes this house unique

Finca El Alcornorque is a great holiday house, you will be happy to spend your days at home with all the activities here that you should need, but remember there are are many family activities in the area. The good roads give you acsess to day trips too to Gibraler, Tarifa, Jerez, Sevilla, Malaga, Marbella. Furthermore there is a beautiful train trip to Ronda and even a one hour ferry to Morocco. Nearer home there are mountain walks with or without an English speaking guide, horse riding, painting, bird watching, reasonably priced tapas bars and restaurants, should provide you with everything you need. There is large commercial centres just 20 kilometres away. The owners have lived in the area for 9 years and will be able to assist you and inform you of any details. Good quality information is available at the house.

Relaxed house in the countryside.

We had an excellent time, at Finca Alcornorque. It was our first visit to this part of Spain and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Finca was lovely, well set out, with everything we needed. The pool was amazing and sun lounging area very comfortable, facing the sun all day long. We did not use the gym or sauna but the table tennis was a lot of fun. The nearest village is a drive away but plenty of cheap restaurant's and bars, also lovely bar at the end of the track.

We were met on arrival, shown around the villa, and left. Fabulous welcome basket. Jeremy and his wife sorted out the glitch in the wifi and all was well for us the rest of our stay. Many thanks to you both. Will definitely return again with more friends.

We try to be flexible on the length of your stay and leaving dates but this is totally depending on availability.

We are normally based is about 40 minute drive away so prearranging all meets will be essential. No BBQs from July to September. We do have stable for 3 horses but must have a lot of notice.
