About Michelle Shevkenek
Travel has always been a shared passion for Troy and me. We have lived in Seoul and Shanghai, and we have travelled extensively in Asia. Here in Canada we have had the opportunity to live in Toronto, Calgary, and White Rock, but we are now happily ensconced in Victoria BC. Victoria has so much to offer - coastal waters, lakes, rivers, and mountains - a nature-lover's paradise. One of our favourite things to do is explore the many natural wonders of our area with our children and dogs, and discover new and interesting culinary treats.
Michelle Shevkenek purchased this House in 2017
Why Michelle Shevkenek chose Victoria
Our dream has always been to live in a rural setting away from the hubbub close to nature. We chose our property because of its beauty and potential but also because of its convenience - we are only 15-20 minutes from downtown, 15 minutes to the airport and 20 minutes to the ferry. We are surrounded by horse farms, wineries and acreages.
What makes this House unique
Our beautiful apartment offers a lovely luxurious rural retreat. You will love the quiet and serenity of the property and enjoy the gorgeous views of winding country roads, idyllic horse farms, and lush forests. The beautiful kitchen is fully equipped to prepare your meals and the beds are comfortable and inviting.

Quiet mountainside suite. Great location.
Enjoyed our stay at this private mountain side suite. It was in close proximity to down town Victoria and the Butchart gardens. The suite was perfect for what we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped for the days we wanted to cook at home. It is a very attractive space and the beds were super comfortable. The owners were responsive to our needs.
Thanks Michelle and Troy for a great stay.
Piece of Paradise
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Michelle was a very considerate property manager and the suite was just perfect. It worked great for our family of 5 which is not easy to find!
Beautiful area, felt like home
Great place to stay while visiting the Victoria area. Being outside of the hustle and bustle of the city made us feel at home. Beautiful, quiet neighbourhood, waking up to the sound of roosters crowing and hearing other farm sounds in the distance. The weather was warm during our visit and the upstairs room got quite warm but it cooled down well enough overnight. The house was clean and had everything one would need. We would stay here again for sure.
Peace and Privacy
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Michelle was very responsive to any questions we had and checked with us several times to see if we needed anything. The house is tucked away and you feel like you are all alone-except for the rooster that could be heard at any time. Kind of miss him... The locations is perfect-close enough to go into Victoria, but far enough away to be disconnected from the noise and traffic of the city. The hiking trail recommendations were appreciated.
We loved staying here! It was the perfect size for our family of 6. It was in a great location and centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay here again!
Wish I could stay longer
Seamless, quite homey place, warm floors on a cool evening. We loved it, looking forward to coming longer next time.
