About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Located ten minutes from the skiing at Whiteface Mt. and twenty-five minutes to the tourist attractions of Lake Placid, The 3 Bears Cabin, is a tranquil getaway location that is surrounded by as much excitement as you would wish to explore.

The 3 Bears Cabin is set in the solitude of the pine trees, yet is easily accessible, and a destination for family and friends. The Cabin is constructed using traditional post and beam craftsmanship where particular attention was paid to maintaining an airtight and draft free environment. The all-wood interior will surround you with a warm and comfortable feeling that can only be experienced in a home that is constructed in the post and beam fashion.

The main floor features cathedral-ceilings, and an open kitchen floor plan allows guests to interact while cooking and dining.

When it is time to retire for the evening, The 3 Bears Cabin will accommodate 6 guests and well trained dogs.

The cabin features two downstairs bedrooms, each with massive cedar mortise and tenon, queen-sized beds. The beds were crafted in the rustic tradition but the subtle pillow-top mattress will certainly soothe your tired muscles and ensure a restful night's sleep.

If one is looking to accommodate additional guests there is a comfortable queen-sized futon, with extra thick mattress, situated in front of the glass-fronted wood stove. Though the guests who choose to sleep on the futon will not have a traditional bed, they will however, have the experience of falling asleep in front of the fireplace while gazing up into the beautiful post and beam rafters.

The 3 Bears Cabin also has a full bath on each floor where one can take a hot shower and prepare for the adventures right at your doorstep.

Wonderful, cozy cabin that is very family friendly!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend's family and I had a great time at 3 Bears Cabin. It is in a great location off the main roads so it is quiet and serene. The cabin was well stocked with kitchen supplies and bedding for both the beds and futon in the living room. We went on great walks in the neighborhood. The whole experience was wonderful and my boyfriends family, who are from Florida, loved the area! We would definitely come back. The only thing I would warn is that there are neighborhood dogs. They are friendly but they do bark. Other than that we loved it!

Very nice, quiet get away!

The house was cozy and had all of our basic needs. It is close enough to lakes and hikes to thoroughly enjoy the summer months in the Adirondacks. Money well spent!

PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

The stay we had was amazing. The cabin was beautiful. It was so cozy, and if you plan on staying here don't pack the extras the owners have already thought that for you! Pots, pans, plates, cups, bowls, spices, pillows, blankets, towels, etc. and when I say etc I MEAN etc. we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! When we go again we are definitely going to rent this again!

The owners were so helpful. gave us numbers just in case we had a problem. We needed propane, called them and not even 10 minutes later they were pulling into the driveway with it. Can't get any better service than that.

The cabin was peaceful and wonderful!! Beautiful view. Inside and out.

Fantastic

Always a welcome destination, we were thrilled to return to the Cabin. The wood stove, relative seclusion and great deck made for a wonderful stay and our dog loved the visits from the neighbors Bernese. Thank you for sharing!

Wonderful Adirondack cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the 3 Bears Cabin! The house is spacious and cozy with nice kitchen, dining and living room areas. Nathan provided plenty of wood and newspaper for the stove in the living room. Everything was spotless when we arrived and the house had all the basic amenities available. The 2 bedrooms were comfortable and perfect for our family of four. The house is well-located-15 minutes for Whiteface and a half hour from Lake Placid. It snowed our first night and by the morning the roads and our driveway had been plowed. Thank you Nathan for a great stay!

Textbook Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the cabin was perfect. The owner(s) definitely get an A+ for their cabin decorating skills. I especially liked the light fixture over the kitchen table. Everything was perfect and we'll kept. My daughter appreciated the posh TV (yea, I know so much for isolation in the woods) and the Internet worked great. Nathan was also very quick to respond to any communication. I would love to stay again.
