Woodsy lakeside retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a great vacation & miss this cabin very much! Linda was absolutely wonderful to work with. She had great family friendly suggestions from dining to activities. The cabin & property was clean, simple & well maintained! The amenities were spot on especially the washing machine. It was so refreshing to see our kids down by the lake fishing every morning instead of watching TV or playing on their devices. This was the perfect family getaway, the perfect way to escape our busy NY lives! Can’t wait to visit again! Thank you Linda!!!

Laid back cabin retreat

  • 5 of 5

The property was well maintained as well as the cabin. Everything was clean, simple & with the right amount of amenities. The washing machine was a big plus!!! Linda is a very kind & considerate person. She had great suggestions about where to eat & what do do. The natural woodsy environment was exactly what we needed to get away from the hustle & bustle of NY living. It was so refreshing to see our kids go down to the lake each morning & go fishing instead of watching TV or playing on devices. We absolutely love this cabin & can’t wait to go again! Oh the hummingbirds! We miss them so much! Thank you Linda!

Little slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

This place is a gem. Immediately upon exiting the car, the scent of pine melts away your stress. The view of the lake is beautiful, and sitting on the front porch drinking morning coffee is the best part. The cabin itself is very clean, comfortable and extremely well-stocked with nearly any item you need. Just bring your clothes and groceries, and you are good to go. The cabin is secluded and the property is extremely quiet. The stars on a clear night are amazing. The owner is nearby but out-of-sight from the cabin and very kind and accommodating to recommend restaurants/activities/directions. The property is about an hour from Acadia National Park. Would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, quiet lake property

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful property that is exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Linda was extremely helpful long before we got there (she is very clear about what the property is and isn't, so there shouldn't be any surprises) and once we arrived. She is fully available if or when you need her, but invisible if you don't. She also has great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. Having kayaks and a canoe available for use was terrific and the porch has an amazing view of the lake. The cottage was stocked with all the things we needed and was very clean. As others have stated, the drive to the cottage is long, but the seclusion was worth it. We would definitely stay here again!

Car: necessary

Come and enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, campfires, nature walks, canoeing/kayaking, and more. 17 miles to Ellsworth; 40 minutes to Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park. Relax in the wilderness/water or go whale watching, on an island cruise, antique shopping, L.L. Bean and other outlets, or dining at a lobster pound or other outstanding restaurant - all nearby. You will enjoy this cottage most if you like the outdoors, want to be away from neighbors, noise, lights, civilization - but you can have all those with a half hour drive. DSL Internet now available.
