A Perfect, Secluded Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 6 days at the cabin in early May. We loved how peaceful and secluded it was. The cabin was beautiful and comfortable and had everything we needed, including coffee, tea, and spices for cooking! The yard and lake were very nice. We wish we could have spent more time outside, but we came during blackfly season (Linda warned us all about it in advance), so when we were at the cabin, most of our time was spent inside. The cabin was less than an hour from Acadia and Bar Harbor, so we had no problem getting everywhere we wanted to go. Linda was very friendly and offered a lot of suggestions for shopping, activities, and sight seeing. The only downside I can think of is the long, bumpy ride down the dirt road leading to the cabin, but the peace and seclusion at the cabin are worth it. We can't wait to come back!

As advertised, clean, and well equipped

  • 5 of 5

A bit remote, but the cabin had everything we needed. The owner is nearby and very helpful. The view of the lake from the porch is very nice - we made it a habit to eat breakfast out there. Kayaks were available to explore the lake. And lots to do in the surrounding area.

A beautiful and relaxing spot!

  • 5 of 5

Once again we had a lovely time here. The house is so comfortable and clean with everything you might want. Linda is gracious and always ready to offer suggestions or answer questions. The lake is beautiful and -- for fishermen-- has never disappointed in the number of fish we have caught. Well worth the stay.

The perfect and quiet lakeside cabin

  • 5 of 5

We often think about this place fondly since our stay in September 2014, and would certainly consider staying here again. Linda’s clean and roomy cabin has everything for comfort, inside and outside. The cabin is quite private and fully furnished with everything needed for cooking and relaxing. We loved the outdoor seating under the huge pines with a great view of the lake, and Linda’s garden plantings give the yard a homey feel. The photos accurately represent the place, but being there brings such a wonderful feeling of serenity and contentment. We chose it for its remote location but there is still plenty to do there. The fishing was successful and we took several hikes through the woods and along the shore of the lake. It is a pretty drive into town where we enjoyed some fabulous meals and sight-seeing. Linda is an attentive host who offered helpful information about the surrounding area but still respected our privacy. We highly recommend Linda’s wonderful cabin on the lake!

Beautiful property. Excellent hostpitality.

  • 4 of 5

This is a beautiful setting. The house has everything you can imagine to make for a wonderful stay. The owner is an amazing hostess. She went out of her way to assure that all of our needs were met. This home is very comfortable. And even getting down to 3.6 mile driveway is an adventure (we were glad that Linda gave us an escort when we arrived in the dark!!!). The only thing we have to say that is not positive is that the cabin is not finished. It needs to have the ceiling, walls and floor completed. We were a bit taken aback when we first walked in to find that there is not a ceiling and some walls are still open to the wall studs. (This did allow us to inspect the carpentry.) But as we cozied in to have a wonderful stay, it did not seem to interfere with our enjoyment.

We want to return one day a bit earlier in the year and stay a bit longer so that we can enjoy this amazing property.

I can not say enough about staying @ Chryslin Camp, it is wondrful!

The cottage is lovely, and very roomy as well as well appointmented with everything anyone can ask for. Just bring yourselves and your suitecase...the rest is there. Linda is warm, very generous with her time and a great host. She has thought of everything! A very quiet, relaxing stay...loved to just sit by the Lake with a good book and enjoy the serenity...Rita & Andrew, Middletown, De.
