Cyprus For A Perfect Holiday: Cyprus is the third largest Island in the Mediterranean, it is an island of beauty and a country of contrasts. Cool, pine-clad mountains are a complete scene-change after golden sun-kissed beaches. Tranquil, timeless villages are in striking contrast to modern cosmopolitan towns. Luxurious beach side hotels can be exchanged for large areas of natural unspoilt countryside. Yet in Cyprus all distances are easily manageable, mostly on modern roads and highways - with a secondary route or two for the more adventurous. The summers are long and hot, fruit trees buckle under the weight of their bounty as do the vines, the grapes of which go into producing some fine local wines. The Island has long been of great strategic importance and boasts the legacy of many of its occupying empires, fortifications built by the Crusaders still stand. A holiday here is idyllic, there is lots to see and plenty to do, the welcome is warm and the weather likewise.

Local Shopping: Part and parcel of any holiday is the question of what to take home. Leather is very good value. The shoe shops stock up-to-date styles at very reasonable prices. Handbags, suitcases and jackets are a good bargain. Shoes and jackets, as well as men's suits and shirts, can be made-to-measure within a week or so. Handicrafts abound on every shopping street. A good spot to view them is the Cyprus Handicraft Centre in Lefkosia, with retail shops in every town. Small items of the distinctive, traditional pottery make good gifts, and so does Cyprus copperware and filigree silver. Always popular is the beautiful 'Lefkaritika' or ' Lefkara Lace'. Folkweave, needle and crochet work, woodwork and basketwork are a few more of the things visitors like to take home with them, not to mention Cyprus brandy which can be bought by the demijohn, Commandaria and even Halloumi - the Cyprus cheese.

Golfing: Paphos is the new jewel in the crown for golfers seeking golf breaks in the warmth of the eastern Mediterranean. It offers golfers challenging world class championship courses, warm hospitality and almost year round sunshine. There are three 18 hole golf courses to choose from. Tsada Golf Club which is just 20 minutes from Paphos town, 550 meters above sea level to ensure cool breezes during the summer months. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6,060 meters. The Secret Valley Golf Club is 18 kilometres east of Paphos lying within a scenic valley and offers panoramic views. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6,120 meters. Excellent apartment and fantastic location

Excellent apartment in a quiet location with superb views of the sea having spectacular sunsets

Property was well furnished and provided everything we needed to make the most of the holiday. Almost got lost in the king size bed!

The best surprise was the terrace which was large and private.

Situation was central just off the Tombs of the Kings Road and within walking distance of shops restaurants beach and harbour.

I am looking forward to my next holiday in cyprus especially if I can rebook the apartment for an extended holiday.

Fantastic centrally located Penthouse!

We have stayed at this apartment on a number of occasions. It's in a fantastic location with sea and mountain views from the huge roof top terrace. Walking distance to the beach, Kings Avenue Mall, and the harbour - as well as numerous bars and restaurants on the Tombs of the Kings road.

Furnished to a high standard with everything you could possibly need to make it a home from home, including fast wi-fi internet and a great smart-iptv showing hundreds of channels including all U.K channels (BBC/ITV)

Under-cover car parking (car not necessary) & amazing sun-set views. Very good value for money for such a high-spec property in such a good location. HIghly recommended.

Perfect place, really close to the beach...

Perfect value for money. Close to the beach. Very spacious, two bedroom apartment. Stayed there with family and really enjoyed it. Close to harbour, shops, restaurants, car hire etc. but still quiet and all you can hear is the sea, birds ang goats nearby :) Wish we could stay there longer. Air condition, gas and electric heaters (for winter season), parking lot just beneath the building.

Wonderful holiday

We spent a fabulous 2 weeks here with our daughter and a friend and cannot praise the accommodation and location more. The apartment is literally a few minutes walk from the beach and the coastline here is wonderful, although the beach is a bit stoney and it is not easy to swim here because of the rocks underfoot. The coast walk into Kato Paphos is glorious and there are lovely beaches the other side of KP, but you may want to drive there if it is very hot - it gets extremely hot.

Apartment in a quiet area, which is what we wanted, it was spotlessly clean and well furnished. The sun terrace is amazing and the apartment surprisingly large and well furnished for a rental property. Lots of sheets and towels, but no washing-up liquid (a minor grumble - there is a good large supermarket near the harbour with everything you'll want, and plenty of small shops close enough to walk to for the odd thing). The only small problem with the apartment is the key to the bathroom is decidedly dodgy and after someone almost got locked in, we removed it.

I would whole-heartedly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in west Cyprus, it is a good base for that half of the island. I also must commend the staff at the office who made booking our holiday a really pleasant experience and arranged our car hire also. I don't think I've come across more friendly, helpful people.

What a lovely Paphos Sunset to view every night!!

Sorry for the late review!

Excellent air conditioned apartment with 2 large bedrooms.

The patio is huge, and has sun loungers and a table and chairs.

Great sea views from the apartment and patio, and the sunset is worth a view every evening!

The apartment is in a quiet area, and is close to a coastal path which is leads you to the town centre, which is about a 15 min stroll. Don't forget to feed the goats on the way down!!

Theres some nice bars and restaurants close by (5 mins walk)

The apartment has a nice sized kitchen which has all the necessary items.

We stayed for 10 nights, and the weather was hot every day, and this was mid October!

We certainly enjoyed Paphos centre, and despite the lively 18-30 bars being limited due to the month we were in, the amount of restaurants and coastal bars made up for it.

We will defiantly stay at the apartment again in the future.

Ideally located in central Paphos

Regular visitors to Cyprus, but our first time in this property for three weeks in May. Very clean, bright, furnished with modern, good quality furniture. Exactly as described in the HomeAway listing.

There isn't a pool, something which actually attracted us to make the booking, but a number of neighbouring complexes/hotels welcome none residents.

The amazing sun terrace/balcony is huge, south-facing with sea & mountain views, a large dining table & sun-beds. Sun from early morning onwards & great sunset views. The beach is just a two minute walk away, as is the Tombs of the Kings road - but the immediate area is very quiet and relaxing. Good access to Coral Bay and the old town by bus, and walking distance to the harbour. There are also two large supermarkets within a five minute walk.

Local restaurants vary in both quality and price: Duomo, Metaxxas, Martelli's and Oliveto are all consistently good (mid/high-price range). Tea for Two & Karalina are convenient for breakfast/lunch/snacks (low-mid price range). All of the above are on or just off the Tombs road & no more than a five/ten minute walk.

The owner/property manager was very helpful prior to our arrival and there was a small welcome pack (tea, coffee, milk) when we arrived, which was appreciated.

The apartment is not really suitable for the old/infirm due to the lack of a lift to the second floor. We would definitely recommend the property, to friends and family, and we have already booked another two weeks in the same property for later this year. Highly recommended.

Located off Tomb of the Kings Road and only 100 metres from the beach. Only 2 minutes walk from the local shops, bars, restaurants and tavernas and is ideally situated on a main bus route. The harbour of Kato Paphos is a 15 minute stroll and is a wonderful place to sit and watch the world go by whilst sipping an ice cool drink. In the evening the restaurants that line the quayside come alive serving fresh fish and the traditional Cypriot 'Meze'

The market in the old town is 10 minutes walk away where the hustle and bustle of everyday living mixed with tourist visitors hunting for bargains makes an idyllic setting. There are many places of interest in and around Paphos a guidebook can be found at your apartment. Some not to be missed are the Troodos Mountains with its pine scented forests and closer to home the Paphos villages where time has stood still and friendly hospitality is the norm. Hiring a car is easy and we can arrange a rental car to be available from the airport.
