Traditional beach cottage very clean and well maintained. Unique two bedroom, two bathroom floor plan provides plenty of privacy for families and friends. LBI oceanside, experience quiet evenings serenaded by the Atlantic surf-just three houses from the beach. Spacious and private wooded backyard with plenty of patio furniture (picnic table, chairs, lounges, Adirondack chairs, hammock) for lazing and lounging in the shade or sun. Off-street parking for 3 vehicles. Walking distance to the Harvey Cedars business district: restaurants, coffee shops, groceries, beverages, beach sundries, movie and bicycle rentals, etc.
The beach cottage was a delight to stay in! Everything that we could of ever needed was provided in the kitchen and throughout the cottage. We felt totally at home in the there and on the beach. You can't beat LBI for a relaxing get away from the rat race.Mark and Beth's place is very homey as well.Unfortunately, the weather that week wasn't conducive to spending time in the backyard but that too, had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. The only thing that would keep us from going back would be the size of the cottage. While it was absolutely perfect for the three of us(Tom,our son Chris and myself),our family is too large otherwise to be able to stay there. Thanks Mark and Beth for letting us take a much needed break from reality in such a lovely setting!
We really enjoyed our week in Harvey Cedars at Mark's cottage. The place was very clean and had all the necessary amenities . The beach was very nice with very few people and a just a half block away.
Mark even called us while we were en route to let us know that we could check in earlier if we wanted to.
Would definitely recommend this rental!
We had an absolutely relaxing week. The beach was huge and empty. Everyday called for rain yet we got sunshine. The kids loved climbing Barnegate Light. The kids crawled across the beach following a turtle into the ocean, probably a once in a lifetime event! We caught a 33inch bluefish in the surf which we fried and ate along with some local clams and a stingray (scate). The dolphins visited twice splashing while chasing bate fish schools. The kids loved riding their bikes to Sunset Park. The house was perfect and the breeze was heavenly. The kids enjoyed heading straight from the beach to the outside shower for cleanup and sand removal. The chowda at Panzones was awesome, got a qt togo. Kubels in Barnegate not only had a beautiful sunset, the food was perfect with for kids and adults, seafood to babyback ribs. The wind was chilly at times on the beach, perfect for my favorite fishing sweater. We want to revisit with even more family.
Spending two weeks at this quaint and very comfortable beach cottage made my summer! It is the perfect location for unwinding after a busy school year. The wide and quiet beach is just over the dune! If you need a break from the sun and heat, the hammock in the shady backyard is the spot. Taking a "rain" shower in the new cedar outdoor shower is divine! Besides spending the days on the beach and enjoying each other's company, my sisters and I walked, read, crafted, grilled under the fairy lights! We also enjoyed the ice cream, great food and spirits all within walking distance. The only bad part was leaving........can't wait to return...
We had a 'sisters vacation' that from start to finish was easy to schedule with the owner available to us at any time. The cottage is just like the pictures--casual, comfortable and immaculate! It has a perfect location for going to the beach. Harvey Cedars has done a wonderful job replenishing the beach and improving access. We grilled most nights, but did enjoy Kubels and the Buckelew Tavern for dinner on two occasions. Kelly's was great for breakfast! It was nice to have such a quiet retreat to use as home base. Shopping and other activities were close--if we were so inclined. When I commented to the owner that we didn't track too much sand into the house, he laughed and said, "It's a beach house...it's supposed to have sand in it!"
We've been "going down the Shore" for more than 20 years and this is by far, the best week we've ever had. This beach home is lovely, cozy, immaculately clean and a joy to stay in. We were steps from the beach, we walked to Neptune's Market for a newspaper and some light breakfast, restaurants and ice cream shops were a hop and a skip away, and we enjoyed evenings under the fairy lights in the backyard hammock.
The Harvey Cedars/Loveladies beach is newly restored and we enjoyed a tidal pool complete with starfish and sand dollars. The owners were friendly, answered our questions, and gave us contact numbers for follow up. Thanks for such an enjoyable stay. We'll be back next year!!
