Overview

About the property

3 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 8

At the end of a private, tree shaded road, our house opens on to a quiet cove with long views of Lake Keowee. As you enter the bright, sun filled house, the lake is visible through large palladian windows. On the right is the dining room with high tray ceilings and a solid French oak table that seats 10. Cheerful original paintings dot the walls. The family room has pine cathedral ceilings and light hardwood floors. Alcoves spotlight local art pieces that can be viewed from the 2 soft leather couches. A 60 inch satelite tv and dvd, provide entertainment options. The eat in kitchen offers another set of large windows to the lake. Down a short hallway lies 2 bedrooms with high ceilings, colorful quilts and pillowtop mattresses. A screened in porch and a deck with a gas grill overlook the lake. Lower level provides another family room and a large bedroom and bath. Decks, waterfall, and gentle flagstone walks lead to our gazebo and private dock to enjoy the water.

Local attractions: The restaurants, shopping at Ram Cat Alley, summer concerts, Clemson University, and movies are only a 10-15 minute drive away. Waterfalls and mountain hiking are only a 30 minute drive. Beautiful and reasonably priced golf courses are within 15 minute drive, and fishing is at your door step. Kids can play miniature golf, hit at a batting cage, and drive small 'cars' 10 minutes away.

About Byron Fiman

I am a semi retired psychologist and management consultant and my wife is a psychotherapist. We live in Atlanta, and come to our house in Lake Keowee as a wonderful retreat from the city.

Byron Fiman purchased this house in 2003

Why Byron Fiman chose Lake Keowee

We searched for a lake house within a 2 hour driving time from Atlanta. Lake Keowee was a pleasant surprise-un-crowded, even on summer holidays, clear and clean water, near the shopping of a small town and university, and close to the hiking trails and waterfalls of the mountains.

Map

Car: necessary

15 minute drive to shopping, restaurants, cinema, Clemson University, and national park/mountain hiking trails and waterfalls. Golf and tennis nearby. Lake Keowee is 35 mile long lake with fishing, uncrowded boating and clean water.

Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

The house was fully stocked with linen and supplies. It was very comfortable for 2 families of 5. We fished off of the dock and the kids enjoyed swimming in the beautiful lake.

Beautiful house on quiet part of Lake!

  • 4 of 5

We really liked the house--high ceilings, well stocked in the kitchen for a group! Had quite a few large palmetto bugs etc--I'm sure to some extent due to it being on the lake, but some additional spraying for bugs might be helpful.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed our house and sorry about the bugs. We have had a very difficult time with bugs this season , perhaps due to the wet summer. Despite repeated sprayings, they continue to prevail. But we will keep working on it

This house is in a lovely area with water access. We rented a boat nearby and docked it during our stay. The house is very clean with ample pillows, blankets and sheets for all the beds. Great home!!

Very nice house. Spacious and great location!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time visit to this property and we will be back. Great location on the lake. Almost at the end of the cove so swimming and fishing much easier and safer for the little ones we had with us. The house is located near grocery stores and other places you need. House was very nice with two levels so our whole group could be together but also space you could get some alone time. Dock was great. We brought a boat - can't image not having one on this beautiful lake. Clean water and beautiful scenery. Don't keep your fish in water tied to dock - an otter got ours! We are already looking at dates for next year!!!!

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of room, comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen in this beautiful home. The outdoor areas are perfect, with screened porch and deck and a fire pit, as well as swings by the lake and a lower deck with it's own waterfall. Great location - close to Clemson for game day! We loved it - hope to return!
