Light, Bright Lake Front House on Quiet Cove with Dock

Bedrooms 3
Space 3,200 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

3 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 8

At the end of a private, tree shaded road, our house opens on to a quiet cove with long views of Lake Keowee. As you enter the bright, sun filled house, the lake is visible through large palladian windows. On the right is the dining room with high tray ceilings and a solid French oak table that seats 10. Cheerful original paintings dot the walls. The family room has pine cathedral ceilings and light hardwood floors. Alcoves spotlight local art pieces that can be viewed from the 2 soft leather couches. A 60 inch satelite tv and dvd, provide entertainment options. The eat in kitchen offers another set of large windows to the lake. Down a short hallway lies 2 bedrooms with high ceilings, colorful quilts and pillowtop mattresses. A screened in porch and a deck with a gas grill overlook the lake. Lower level provides another family room and a large bedroom and bath. Decks, waterfall, and gentle flagstone walks lead to our gazebo and private dock to enjoy the water.

Local attractions: The restaurants, shopping at Ram Cat Alley, summer concerts, Clemson University, and movies are only a 10-15 minute drive away. Waterfalls and mountain hiking are only a 30 minute drive. Beautiful and reasonably priced golf courses are within 15 minute drive, and fishing is at your door step. Kids can play miniature golf, hit at a batting cage, and drive small 'cars' 10 minutes away.

About Byron Fiman

I am a semi retired psychologist and management consultant and my wife is a psychotherapist. We live in Atlanta, and come to our house in Lake Keowee as a wonderful retreat from the city.

Byron Fiman purchased this house in 2003

Why Byron Fiman chose Lake Keowee

We searched for a lake house within a 2 hour driving time from Atlanta. Lake Keowee was a pleasant surprise-un-crowded, even on summer holidays, clear and clean water, near the shopping of a small town and university, and close to the hiking trails and waterfalls of the mountains.

Beautiful, spacious, comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

Plenty of room, comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen in this beautiful home. The outdoor areas are perfect, with screened porch and deck and a fire pit, as well as swings by the lake and a lower deck with it's own waterfall. Great location - close to Clemson for game day! We loved it - hope to return!

Wonderful, Bright Lakefront House.

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at this lovely lakefront home. The house is lovely and had ample room for 8 adults. There is a large living area with a beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen was large and has every amenity needed. We were there for a week and enjoyed every day. There are several places down by the Lake to sit and enjoy the views and we even went swimming for at least 3 days because the water was so warm and the weather was gorgeous. We enjoyed the screened in porch which overlooks the lake and spent many hours sitting out there. The dining room is large and we had a large family dinner there one evening. We would definitely return to this lovely home.

Very Nice Home

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our time at this lake front home. The house was very nice and well equipped. Lots of privacy. The downstairs area was perfect for our four teenage girls. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is disposing of our own garbage is a hassle. I will make the following observations for people considering this home in the future. These are not negatives just observations. There is not a master suite available in this home. The two upstairs bedrooms share a non connected bathroom. The view of the lake from the house is mostly blocked by trees. The owners boat is under the covered dock so if you have a boat it will be tied up to the side of the covered dock. And finally you have to dispose of your own garbage. I reiterate that these are not necessarily negative but are good to know when considering rental. We would definitely consider this home again.

Owner's Response: We are glad that you enjoyed our home. The pictures on our web site transparently confirm our guest's observation. We do wish Oconee County would allow for private garbage pick up, but the area does have its eccentricities.

Gorgeous, secluded home - perfect for a week away from it all!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our dogs had a wonderful, relaxing week at this amazing home! Located on a very quiet street in a beautiful wooded setting, this home offered everything we could possibly need and more! The kitchen is extremely well-equipped, which was perfect because we cooked all of our meals here - never needing to leave! We (and our dogs) loved the waterfall, as well as the many outdoor areas to sit and relax. The gentle slope into the water was perfect for dogs who love to wade, but aren't fond of actually swimming. The quiet cove was perfect - away from boat traffic and very tranquil. We loved discovering new and unique art on every wall of the home every day - the owners have wonderful taste! We rented a boat for the week (which is a must if you want to see all of this beautiful lake and the amazing homes on it) and kept it at the dock. The pictures of this house are wonderful, but it truly is even better in person. I highly recommend this truly amazing home for a perfect lake getaway!

Owner's Response: We are so happy that you enjoyed our house. We wanted to furnish it so we would want to come to stay ourselves, so we filled it with better furniture and art from our international travels. Glad your taste was like ours!!! And we also cherish the location-a long view of the lake but without the noise of passing boats. With only a few other houses on our cove, the privacy and quiet are a treasure.

Light Bright Lakefront Seneca

  • 5 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed this property. Felt right at home. Beds were comfortable and used the air mattresses also. We took turns with the kayak and relaxed on the dock and decks. Plenty of towels and the kitchen was well equipped.
