About Andrea Stevenson
My family has either been visiting or living in Leelanau County for longer that I can even remember. We have always had ties to the area going back farther than my Great-Great Grandparents. I grew up here and my Aunt who owns the house grew up visiting here.
Why Andrea Stevenson chose Lake Leelanau
When my Aunt relocated to this area from Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina she settled into her house in Omena and found this place to call home to her medical practice. Leelanau County has always been that home away from home and when she decided to to relocate to Ohio to be closer to children and grandchildren, it seemed a good choice to create an actual home away from home.
What makes this House unique
This place is wonderfully located near downtown Lake Leelanau. Allowing access to restaurants, wineries and several different lakes. With a coffee shop, a bakery and even a brewery near buy it is a great place to spend time with family, as a couple or even on your own.

Large & Great Location
This was a great setup for our family getaway (5 couples). Being right at the narrows was a perfect location for our wine/brewery tour weekend. The description of the beds and rooms was spot-on. And the kitchen had lots of equipment and supplies, which isn’t always the case with rentals. We’d definitely stay here again for a large group outing.
Great for a group
The house is much nicer than the pictures. The rooms are bigger than the photos portray. House was very clean. Great location. Plenty of parking. Had 1 question that was answered very quickly via text. Would definitely recommend it for groups and families. Wifi was good too.
Overall clean and was accommodating
The bathroom with the bunk beds - no hot water in the shower and the plug didn’t work. Also found a bunch of long black hair in that shower. Everyone had to use one shower. Other then that everything was great.
Beautiful place, great location!
This house was beautiful and super clean! The location was perfect for our ladies wine weekend!
Pros: Very clean home with comfortable beds and nicely furnished - the best of any rental we've had before. Obvious improvements were ongoing (primed, not painted door, pin nails holding up bathroom mirror) which indicates the owner takes care of the home. The kitchen was well appointed as well, it even had tools for roasting marshmallows for s'mores by the outside fire pit. It served as a great base from which to do all our sight-seeing in the villages around Lake Leelanau.
The Northern Latitudes Distillery is across the street as well as Dick's Pour House. Boatyard Vineyards is just across the narrows, all very walkable. The owner was very timely in responding to questions before our stay.
Cons: Zero counter space or shelf space in the bathrooms to leave unpacked items for a week stay, but the bathrooms are spacious. A bathroom, rather than a mini-kitchen (no fridge), in the upstairs studio would be a better use of the space, as that room has 2 queen beds.
Overall: I would definitely stay here again and recommend the home to others interested in a very nice home base for day trips around the area or just to stay inside on a rainy day. The few "cons" mentioned are definitely outweighed by the "pros". The price is very reasonable as it isn't in the nearby tourist villages but close enough that it is a short 15 minute drive to go any of them.
Great accommodations for our wine tasting trip. Close to everything.
House was very clean and in a great location for fall activities!
Kayak and boat rentals right on Lake Leelanau and a short Drive to multiple Lake Michigan accesses. Lots of other activities in Traverse City, just about a 30-minute drive away!
