Great home for family reunion with young children
Our whole family (10 adults and eight kids) get together once a year, and try to find one big house so we can spend as much time together as possible. This house was great — big, comfy, nice setup for hangouts in the family room (huge couch) and meals (dining table seats 16!). The house is pretty old — in good shape, just some creaky floors and steep staircases — but also gorgeous stained glass windows and an awesome porch.
We loved being a short drive from a great zoo, aquarium, aquatic center and river boat tour.
Neighborhood is beautiful, though you’re one block away from a rougher-looking area, so check twice before walking around.
Family Get Together
The house was perfect for our family get together! We were all able to stay together for three nights before traveling a little further for a family wedding! We had family members from Dayton, New Jersey, New York, California and Texas all together under one roof! We all loved the house! The porch was amazing and we loved sitting in the rocking chairs and porch swing during a summer thunderstorm and heavy rain. We plan to come back!
Perfect house for our reunion. Beautiful stained glass. Everyone had plenty of room. Thank you
Perfect for our family reunion.
The house was beautiful, clean and exactly as described and shown in the photos. It fit our 13-person family reunion perfectly. It was better supplied with toys and kitchen supplies than we expected. It was well located to the Cincinnati Reds ballpark and the Newport Aquarium. Loved sitting on the big front porch.
Two of the second floor bedrooms had curled area rugs that the room doors caught and rolled back when entering or leaving the rooms. Tripping was a possibility and they could slow down exiting in an emergency. These two area rugs should be tacked or velcroed back down ASAP.
We would definitely use this house again.
We stayed in this house for our schools senior trip. Emily and her husband were wonderful. The house was more than enough room for all 15 of us. Clean and comfortable home away from home. It fit all of our needs! I will defiantly stay again whenever the chance comes again. Not that far away from the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter!Great memories!
Perfect answer all of our group's needs
We were looking for a spacious "home away from home" for our extended family of 22 (including 13 kids ages 4-13). while on a 4-day weekend trip to see the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. This home met our needs in every way--space, amenities, location, ambience.
