Why Grier Eargle chose Saluda
Saluda is a unique area convenient to many attractions in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. This log home brand new and will be finished in early 2019. It's less than 2 miles from the interstate and less than a mile to downtown Saluda yet feels like it is in a world by itself. The cabin was designed to take advantage of the southern exposure and mountain vista.

Your house was perfect for our family! My daughter was married in Asheville this weekend and your house was our home base for the weekend festivities. You thought of absolutely everything!
Wonderful Mountain Home
What a great log cabin, all the warmth of a mountain log cabin with all the upscale comfort of a beautiful new construction. The families had a great time and I would recommend this home to anyone! Thank you!!
Great mountain home for family and friends
The Escape at Victoria mountain is beautiful and perfect for a large family or family reunion. We had 12 people and plenty of room for all of us (ages 16 to 78) to spread out, play cards, cook and enjoy the porches (3 of them! Each with a swing and great chairs!). The cabin is new and the kitchen had everything we needed to bake, grill and cook! Secluded, yet not far from Saluda, the green river and interstate 26.
Impressive cabin perfect for large families or multiple couples traveling!
First time staying at this cabin while in town with siblings and their families for a wedding. Conveniently located close to Saluda, zip lining, and tubing on the river! Four of the bedrooms were all nice size and all with their own bathroom and shower. The hot water was pretty instant and the appliances were all new. We liked it had a refrigerator, washer and dryer on both the main and lower floor. We also appreciated a long lighted drive up to the cabin for when we came back late. Plenty of extra parking in front of the cabin. Only thing we found was a some trash behind a bedroom door that looked like the cleaning crew forgot was there. Other than that, the place was pretty spotless! We would recommend staying there to anyone! Only suggestion that wasn't really a big issue would be add some plastic cups for kids, all the provided cups and plates are glass.
Thanks for your kind words and we appreciate your recommendations
A hidden cabin full of little surprises and lifelong memories . . .
Our group of 11 stayed at the Escape at Victoria Mountain during our 2019 annual vacation. There were 11 of us ranging in age from mid 20s to early 80s and we utilized all the beds and bedrooms. The home was beautiful inside and out; the pictures available on HomeAway do not fully capture how wonderful we found this property. We all used GPS to find the location and did so without any hitches. After a short drive up the gravel road leading up the hill you arrive at the Escape itself. The home is nestled in a small clearing created by the construction of the home and parking area, which permits five or six vehicles to park comfortably. The exterior of the home is presented well by the light coming through the opening in the tree canopy above. There are two large living spaces within the home that each seat a large group, we primarily used the upper living area (we had a guest who used the lower living area to study for mid-term exams and the separation allowed us all to enjoy the home). There is a large table in the dining section of this upper great room that would probably seat 12 (there are 10 chairs) and we made full use of it at meals and playing card and board games. This is not the sort of cabin that appears to have been thrown up haphazardly without a plan. The décor is well thought out and suits the property and the rooms well; it is warm and inviting without being intrusive. The owner has stocked the property well and if there is a need for something it can likely be found in one of the many drawers and cabinets in and surrounding the kitchen area. Perhaps a gourmet chef might find something missing (probably not) but the Escape handled everything our group threw at it without breaking stride. There is so much there that we on one occasion had to contact the property manager for assistance in locating an item we needed. He promptly replied to our text and we were able to locate the desired items (the grilling tools). We also really enjoyed the attention to detail that the owner had. You won't find any contractor grade fixtures or finishes here, everything is high end and adds to the ambiance. The beds were amazing, thick pillowtop mattresses with high quality linens. I could go on and on about all the little surprises we found while staying at the Escape, alas there is a character limit here. We loved our stay and are already talking about returning.
