Beautiful and Relaxing Getaway
The property was even more beautiful in person and my wife and I had such a relaxing time. The owners were so friendly and welcomed us when we arrived an showed us around which was helpful. Bill gave great restaurant recommendations that we tried and loved. An excellent trip and highly recommend this property if you are looking for beauty and relaxation while still being close to restaurants, shopping wineries etc.
Almost Heaven on our “19th Anniversary
The location is absolutely beautiful waking up to look at the sun shining over the mountains and the suite was everything you will ever need! Very comfortable! Mr. Woodland was very kind to welcome us and give us several great wineries and breweries in the area to visit! Best VRBO we have ever stayed in!
Beautiful house and view. Wonderful hosts. Hope to return.
We truly enjoyed our Labor Day getaway to Almost Heaven in Swoope, Virginia. This property is clean, cozy, and more than comfortable. The decor is lovely and the unit is well-equipped with anything you might need. The view from the patio is one of the most beautiful farmland settings I have seen. William is helpful and friendly, but assures your privacy as well. The location is convenient to all Staunton has to offer (we enjoyed a play at the Blackfriars Playhouse) and to Shenandoah National Park. We would definitely stay here again.
In all of our travels this was the nicest place we have ever stayed. The views are amazing. Everything provided is high end. The owners are very nice, helpful and super friendly to talk with. It was a struggle daily to pull ourselves away from the luxury to go and explore the Shenandoah valley.
Lovely property in a peaceful setting. The wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay at Almost Heaven. William and his wife welcomed us and gave us a quick review of the property. We enjoyed several area restaurants and the nearby local brewery. We had freedom to roam the vast and beautiful grounds of the property and we took full advantage of that. We witnessed a wonderful thunderstorm and a firefly spectacle that can’t be seen anywhere in the city. The views are amazing and the peacefulness of the place can’t be beat. We hope to visit again soon. Thanks William for sharing your home with us.
